Ayu beat Seiko's streak of most #1s singles by a female but she didn't beat the consecutive streak, meaning Seiko got her 25 #1s straight. Ayu only has 19 consecutive #1s, starting with Free & Easy.

^Actually, Seiko did have 25 no. 1s, but only 24 were consecutive (according to JPN Wiki). Her no. 1 streak started on 1980, and ended on 1988. Then she gained her last no. 1 single (the 25th) in 1996.

So that means, ayu need to get 5 more consecutive no. 1 singles in order to share the same record with Seiko, and 6 more if she wanna break the record. If you ask me, it'll be kinda tough to do so... Unless she'll be making 3 singles next year (cuz I still believe that she can aim for no. 1 easier), then 2 singles in 2010. I dun think making 4 singles a year will be a good idea for ayu. It's hard to fight for 4 safe weeks as she needs to share this valued thing with B'z, Mr. Children, KK, NEWS, etc..

Thanks for the first week sales. A bit disappointed that it didn't end up selling more than Mirrorcle World.

I have mixed feelings about this record, one part of me says that I want Ayu to take it another says I don't want her to. Both are like top3 favorite artists to me.

I'm confused... Is stay with me, like MW, released a day earlier or what? How come it's on the chart...?

If this is not the real release day for kuu, I guess today's number can't really judge how well stay with me will sell. Normally kuu should be able to sell over 60K on the first week, but the album will be released a month later, so I dunno how the sales will be.

And is this because the usual 2 weeks counting starts on this week?

It looks like this single will hold a 4k per day sales for a while. XDD I hope it has better longetivity.

I'm glad there wasn't a big drop between Sunday and Morning, but disappointed that there was no weekend boost. I really wanted this to beat MW's sales, and that already seems like it won't happen... meh. at least it looks like it'll outsell glitter/fated. At least 2008 seems to be selling more than 2007 did... glitter/fated was even more mainstream than GREEN/Days, since it was summer pop song + ballad. So that makes me glad.
