Three singers come to my mind when you say "beautiful asian soundtracks"

KOKIA's "KARMA" will be out soon on 2009/04/22 It's the Anime "Phantom-Requiem for the Phantom" OP theme
Here's the preview : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVxeiLxVajc
If you like that, check this out: http://www.nautiljon.com/jmusic/koki...+no+negai.html

Another singer who usually sings soundtracks is Akiko Shikata/ Shikata Akiko. She's got a few soundtrack albums out but I don't have any so I can't give you any download links. Try requesting in the downloads section.

And third is, of course, alan's two Chinese EPs for the Chinese movies "Red Cliff". The two songs are entitled "Heart, War or Xin Zhan" and "Chi Bi ~Da Jiang.....~" (I don't quite remember...) Check the downloads section. I think GRACE has uploaded it in his alanography thread

I highly recommend you to listen to all soundtracks of Park Chan Wooks films, especially to Symapthy for Lady Vengeance and Old Boy
Asian soundtracks (especially japanese and korean) are usually great, but I can't think now of more to recommend ^^"

and if you like traditional music, you can try 12 girls band

^ Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Miyazaki's stuff. The OSTs for his movies are always great. 12 Girls Band is awesome, I love them! Rin' is fantastic if you want more traditional Japanese sounding music. They sing in their songs, but they have some instrumental tracks. I love their stuff.
