Ayu. Even if Ayu's isnt the best as well.
Most of the time I can't understand what Namie is singing in English (I still don't hear "work the middle" and "legs, arms, shoulders, knees, fingers, toes, hips and belly" in Wild, I swear, she's singing something else and they just want us to believe that it's English o.O )

I choose of Ayu. I understand what she said in interview. For Namie, I didn't understand what she said in Do Me More lyrics.
'Your red shinin' lips like a queen butterfly' I heard she pronounced butterfly as butter right. ![]() ![]() ![]() For Namie fans, please do not mad at me. This is just my OPINION. Last edited by teppei_chan92; 28th February 2010 at 01:41 PM. |

Well just comparing songs and not actually being able to speak it I'd say Namie has better pronunciation... XD
but Ayu really doesn't use English in her songs all that much anymore... |

^ I based this on how I've heard pronunciation. I don't think we can really use either in terms of what they actually know. Ayumi rarely uses English, be it in in person or in lyrics, and Amuro doesn't write hardly any lyrics, so her English words don't count there, hah. Then again...... Ayumi did use quite a bit in the one interview (you know which one I'm talking about! XD). But I don't know if Namie Amuro's ever done something like that for us to compare?

Ayu's English is so much more fluent that Namie. Ayu can actually have convos in Eng.
But Namie has muchmuch less accent when she sings English than Ayu. ~Ayu has better english knowledge, but stronger accent Last edited by mcluva420; 1st March 2010 at 05:42 AM. |

I'm not a fan of Namie anymore, but I listened to her music a few years ago and her English is really good. I've never heard her talking in English, but in songs her pronunciation is nice.
Ayu's English is VERY good in my eyes, in her songs and in her interviews! And she is constantly improving...so I've to say, Ayu.

I was under the impression that Namie knows little English, whereas Ayu is studying to be fluent.

Neither have amazing English, but Ayu's is better definitely. She was able to talk to the fans in London!
