BoA (Stands for Beat of Angel; Real name: Boa Kwon) is a Korean is a singer who is famous throughout Asia. Since her debut, she has become one of the top singers in both South Korea and in Japan. She is the only non Japanese Asian artist to have two albums selling over a million copies in Japan. She is also one of two artists in Japan who have six consecutive #1 studio albums (though her streak recently ended with IDENTITY). BoA is noted as being an amazing singer as well as a dancer. In addition to being able to speak fluent Korean and Japanese, BoA is also learning English and Mandarin Chinese. In 2008, she attempted to debut in the USA with Eat You Up. In 2009, she released BoA, her debut English album language. It was met with little success in the US but the album topped charts in Korea and Japan. In August 2010, after being away from Korea for five years, BoA released her Korean comeback album, Hurricane Venus.

I hope we'll get the Hurricane Venus MV soon! And I honestly can't wait for her performances omg. Her comeback stage will most likely be mind blowing.

I'm loving all the upbeat tracks on BoA's new album. It always takes me a while to get into ballads so i've been skipping them for now, but i'm sure i'll get time to listen to the album properly soon.
BoA should have done another Korean album sooner. I think the music is much better than her recent Japanese work. |
