SNSD's first Japanese Arena tour in May & first original Japanese single "MR. TAXI" in April

Last year, 9 member Korean group “SNSD” debuted in Japan. Universal Music announced that in May SNSD will be having their first Japan Tour. The members couldn’t hold in their excitement, “This has been our goal since last year and we’re so happy that we can have a nation-wide tour in Japan. We’re quite excited and nervous!”.

Furthermore, SNSD will be releasing their first original Japanese single on April 13th called “MR. TAXI”.

The members are Sooyoung (21), Tiffany (21), Jessica (21), Hyoyeon (21), Seohyun (19), Yoona (20), Taeyeon (21), Yuri (21) and Sunny (21). This is the first time the girls will be having an all-out solo concert in Japan. The tour will begin on May 18th at Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo and go to places like Osaka-jo Hall (Osaka). They will have their tour in 4 places: Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka; and will have 7 performances total. Around 60,000 people are expected to attend. The members commented, “We’re looking forward to eating delicious food all over Japan. Please anticipate our first tour in Japan. And definitely come to one of the venues!”.

The new song “MR. TAXI” is said to be a girl-ish dance song. The single will be a double A-side, the other song will be the Japanese version of “Run Devil Run” which was #1 on Recochoku’s Chaku Uta Full Ranking back in January. The first press limited edition and limited pressing will both include a DVD with the Japanese music video of “Run Devil Run” and will include a photobook as well. The jackets from the First Press Limited Edition version will be different from the Regular Edition’s jacket.

Three Editions of Girls' Generation's First Original Japanese Single

It was announced earlier today that Girls' Generation would be going on a full Japanese tour in addition to releasing their first original Japanese single, entitled "Mr. Taxi". This original single features two songs: the title track "Mr. Taxi" and the Japanese version of "Run Devil Run". Regarding the single, news has come forth about the various options that are available for fans to purchase and the differences between each version.


Jacket A cover - Deluxe First Press Edition

The Deluxe First Press Edition, priced at ¥1,800, contains the CD single itself, a photobook of the girls, a trading card, and a DVD containing both a newly filmed Japanese Run Devil Run music video and a dance version Run Devil Run music video. I just preordered both the Deluxe version and Limited pressing cd+dvd since they both come with different photo books!! I can't wait to see all the new fierce pictures~ I wonder why Mr. Taxi doesn't get a PV though.. maybe they're saving it for the album?

I only expect Mr. Taxi didn't ended up sounding so JPop, bc imo KARA's JCL wasn't that great as a new original song :/
