Yeah, not really anything new, but I still enjoyed reading it. It's so true "a week in Japan" makes as much as "a year in Korea". While I don't think all the groups should head to Japan, some (KARA) should really just stay there. KARA especially is a better fit musically for Japan, plus they're getting way more money than they ever did in Korea.

So sad and true .. It sucks that no one in Korea buys music anymore .. All the years of hard work and nothing in return.

Nothing really new there, but it's refreshing to see it getting promoted/publicised outside of existing kpop fan circles

I feel kind of bad when I buy korean artists stuff knowing how little of the money they'll actually see and how crappy their conditions are, although if I don't buy they'll get even less!

It can't be famous for it's music when ultimately the music is generic and mediocre when put on a world stage. People will find the whole industry and ******** a lot more interesting than they will find the music.

Very well written article. Like others have mentioned I have heard about this dilemma many a time. It's quite sad actually. I figured since many K-Pop performers usually have contracts with endorsement companies, I thought that would make up the costs. I guess not.

It's no wonder why many K-Pop acts are now performing abroad.

It's a little less extreme, but not all that much

In terms of the idol world of Japan vs. Korea, they're very similar.
