This is so terribly sad. Whitney Houston passed away today at the age of 48. No information about the cause or location have been released.

Very shocking. I was not even prepared for this - and especially on the night before the 54th Grammy Awards (the most prestigious awards in music), this happens...

We are going to sadly miss her - it's just another sign of the times...

Yeah...so did I.

I mean, we still have no confirmed reason, but they did say she died in her hotel room in Beverly Hills, so...I don't know. I really had such high hopes after had album in 2009.

I wonder if there is gonna be any kind of ~tribute~ tomorrow at the Grammys for her.

I hope Whitney will find her peace now. I feel sad for her daughter.

/sigh Im still kind of in disbelief.

After that tour she had where everyone was walking out, I just had this optimism that she was going to do something that would bring her back...of course she probably wasnt ever going to have her voice back...but idk...just SOMETHING.

And now, when she was trying to get clean...and if it turns out she went that way...or if it was suicide...just

I'm so ****ing distraught, I can't even pull myself together.

From the various reports that are coming out, she was found in the bathroom (bathtub, sounds like) of her hotel room on the 4th floor of the Beverly Hills Hotel...which is where Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party is happening. They haven't taken her body out yet, and people are arriving for the party downstairs (pics of Britney showing up just made their way onto Twitter).
