Do you think Ayu performs certain songs too often?

I can understand why songs like evolution is performed almost every time. But what i cant stand is she keeps on performing SURREAL ~ evolution ~ SURREAL. in 2003, 2008, 2010, 2012. roar.. I dont like how she performs certain songs the same way.

I do want her to keep performing evolution for ever as I want to see it live in a concert. I'm sure if she doesn't peforming this one year, I'll miss for sure :/
Evolution is too much fun, I love it!
Same for Boys&Girls.
I love Surreal too, is not as fun as evolution but it's a beautiful song.

I don't think she performs a lot any other song...

I love Surreal but I feel like her last acceptable vocal performance of it was CDL 2005-2006. Now every rendition sounds like nails on a chalk board to me.

I'm also getting a little tired of Boys & Girls and My All.

The biggest offense was Bold & Delicious PoM edition though.

And I'm happy she stopped doing the SURREAL~evolution~SURREAL thing. She can perform those two songs as much as she wants, but separatedly, because together it kind of ruins SURREAL (I liked it just the first time she did it)

Seriously. Surreal is such an epic song on its own that it doesn't need evolution to body-slam it out of the way.

Also I wouldn't mind like a Broken Haze Remix of evolution or something performed live.

Another song I'm kind of over live is Trauma.

Boys & Girls. I'm scared I'll start to skip it when watching her lives because I just feel like I've seen the same perfomance waaaay too many times.
Though I can understand her choosing it for every (?) tour.

It just irks me a little when I know there are songs I'd love to see that have never had a live and probably never will
Still find it weird that kanariya never had a live, even though I don't really enjoy that song.

I don't think so. Every music artist has staple sounds they perform at their concerts, and I think every fan enjoys hearing those songs live at least once or twice. Besides, I'm sure it sells a few more casual fans into going, because they know those songs. Who knows.

As for my personal opinion of the songs...I don't think evolution will ever get boring to me, but I'm not the biggest fan of Boys & Girls. I think I overplayed it simply through listening to her remix albums a lot back when I first discovered her. That said, if I ever went to one of her concerts, I'd go crazy if she performed it. It's just one of those songs that's pure nostalgia for her career, and I like that she revisits different parts of her discography with these staples..even if it does get a bit old to watch on her DVD's.

we can complain all day about it. and i do too. when i see some set list i'm always, "y u no sing my favorite sonnggggggg?!?"

but it's soooo different when you're actually there at the concert. you just get this rush when a song you know comes on and you all of a sudden love the song. going to paul mccartney concerts, he always sings "hey jude" and i'm pretty damn sure he's tired of singing it... especially after ~40 years! but it's a fan favorite and people get into it but with as many songs as she's come out with, it's hard to fit them all in.
