Official Kirche website renewed and other Kirche news

The official website of Kirche, the band best known for vocalist Noriko Mitose, who did the vocals for the - beautiful! - vocal track on the Chrono Cross soundtrack by Yasunori Mitsuda ('Radical Dreamers ~unstolen jewel~'), has finally been renewed ánd the band has acquired a new web address: Kirche! It's been up for a while, but only recently did this particular address pop up when google-ing for 'Kirche'. In any case, the website looks fresh and professional - quite the difference when compared to the old Geocities website!

Furthermore, a new Kirche single will be available on February 6, 2005. Its title will be 'Schwarz Nacht' (though slightly misspelled if I'm not mistaken, this means 'Black Night' in German - it should be Schwarze Nacht, but well!). Its price will be 1,260 Yen. From what I could understand, the single will be available at Tower Records even - support these guys! I'll include the news as it was posted on the official site:

Quote:
Kirche、

kirche new single “Schwarz Nacht”

価格 :1,260円(税込み)

収録曲:

 #03 ある午後の情景

I can only hope that Kirche will finally be picked up by a larger audience and that one can order their CDs even at Yesasia and such eventually - no matter what, this all is another step in the good direction!

Yay, more Kirche. I just became a fan recently, after Mitose's vocals on "RADICAL DREAMERS ~nusumenai houseki~" haunted me to no end. Her voice is very unique.

Well said - I agree with you! Have you ever happened to have found their CDs anywhere? I have only been able to find a couple of their MP3s. About time Yesasia starts stocking their stuff, I reckon!

I haven't found their CDs here anywhere - Singapore is a wasteland. Already finding CDs for lesser-known mainstream artistes like Sasagawa Miwa is impossible, let alone indie CDs. And their name slipped from my mind while I was in Japan, so I never did buy any of their stuff there.

I'll be importing their 2 albums next year though, so yeah. I'm thankful that at least MP3s exist out there. I only wish I got the Chrono Cross OST though, it's now out of print. Hope Square-Enix reprints it. =X

Good news for you, though - HMV.co.jp has their new single listed, which means that in all likelihood they'll be stocking future Kirche releases. Yay. =)

towerrecords.co.jp has their "Pleiades" album in stock, so yay again. Perhaps this will make things easier.

I second that - possibly the most brilliant game soundtrack ever imo. I love it - wish I had a legal version. A burnt copy just isn't all that spectacular.

That definitely is some good news - thanks for the heads up!

I just wish I could contact Square-Enix Japan and ask them about the re-printing, but you need a PlayOnline account to email them, which I don't. Besides, their webpage is so obnoxiously frustrating to navigate, I gave up looking for a direct address which I could email them with.

Then again, they did reprint the Chrono Trigger OSTs, so I'm guessing their last reprint movement will include the Chrono Cross OST. If not, it's off to Yahoo! Japan Auctions we go. =X
