I dont have the volume that loud, so others cant hear it anyway. Not just B&D, but any Ayu song or western song. I dont like it when other people hear my mp3 player music, I feel like Im just showing off my "cool and awesome music". I get kinda embarassed when guys on i.e. the subway play really loud music and moves their head up and down to the music, and act really cool>_<
maybe its just just me.

If I did that, I suppose it would be embarrassing... but I rarely use my CD player outside the house because it uses batteries so quickly, and batteries are expensive to waste [must get rechargeable batteries this year!]... when I do use it on the bus though I don't have it very loud, so no one's going to know

No. It would be amazing and I'd smile like the CD version of Miss Understood. Better still if it was being aired in some coffee shop or something. I'd scream the chorus too.

No, not at all. I'm never embarrased of the songs I listen to. In fact, I don't really care much what people has to say. Like, I couldn't care less. Why would anybody even be afraid of listening something you like?

And also. Not to be mean but those that does feel embarassed have low self esteem.

I'd be like..You turn on your (miss) understood CD with your headphones super high in a quiet place and there goes...
"YAYAYAYA GAGAGAGA DADADADA WOWOWOWO"

My mom would be like,
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??!"
and then i'd be like "._. my cd player..."
And then i bet she'd be thinking, "wtf?" all day.
LOL...BOLDDDDDDDDDDDD AND DELICIOUSSSSSSSSS!

It would be more embarrassing if you were caught singing it....

EX: -friend barges into room-
you: "BOLDDDDDDDDDDD ANS DELICIOUS! YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!"
friend:"..o.o oooook...."
...i rest my case.

[i'm kinda curious about if ambz's mom was home when she sang B&D...LOL...]
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Well, you are correct, at least about me. I've been trying to make a good impression on my roommate, and the "yayagagadadawowo" part kind of embarsses me when it blasts when she's in the room. But I already know that I have low self esteem anyway...

That's not true. You can't accuse people who do feel embarrassed over such a song of having low self steem. The feeling of embarassment isn't necessarily related to low self steem, the person could just have a guilty pleasure (they think the song is stupid but they like it but would feel uneasy playing it for other people). There are things you like that you share with intimal friends but wouldn't do so with strangers. It has nothing to do with low self steem, just personality.

Oh well. I guess everybody has different views.

I think, if you're confortable with yourself, you would be confortable to do what makes you feel like too. If you are confident, you wouldn't have the need to feel embarrased or scared for a simple song. It's just a song. I remember when everybody hated Britney Spears to death. My teacher once asked who liked Britney. I wasn't afraid to raise my hand even though I was the only one. Yes, all of my friends hated her a lot as well. But I was still able to listen to it and not feel ashamed. Because I couldn't care less about what other people think of me.

So.. I don't know how old are you... but let's say u like to listen to mini-moni who happens to have songs that are cute and some for learning (japanese number and english numbers) Their songs might just be considered to childish (in this part of the world) so u wouldn't feel embarrased to listen to kids songs like barney songs? or this type of music? and blast it out loud in your stereo or car? or just doing something that just doesn't go with your age? would you still consider that low self steem?.

That's how I see it... I mean, I love mini-moni to death! but sometimes I don't feel comfortable if someone else is nearby (that dosen't mean I would stop the song!), If I listen to mini-moni with my friends and stuff that's kool I really don't care, beacuse as impactbreaker said this just happen to be my guilty pleasure.

I'm 16.

I have no idea who Mini-moni is... . So I can't tell. But I do listen to Ai Otsuka's cute like "Happy Days" and "SMILY" and I've never been ashamed. In the other hand... I don't have a car so I don't know. And I don't listen to children-like song either.
