Which Artists/Bands do you most like or dislike?
Hey I want to know which japanese/korean/chinese Artists/Bands you most like or dislike.
If you want you can rank them... Please add the reasons if there are any^^ Please don't be rude to someone because of his opinion. Everybody is allowed to have his own opinion! Here Mines without rank: My LIKES Ayumi Hamasaki~She's the Best. In my Opinion she's perfect^^ Ai Otsuka~She's so cute. I love her Ballads^^ Koda Kumi~I love her Voice and her Cute (new) Image^^ Gackt~He is the perfect male singer in my opinion^^ Ruki (of Gazette)~I love his Voice and his Looking^^ Hyde~Also great Voice and Looking^^ L'Arc en ciel ~Their music is fun I like it to listen to their upbeat songs^^ Well my DISLIKES Actually it always were Namie Amuro and Boa. But know there are 2 I dislike much more..so I rank 1. Dir en grey The Music is really not my Style and I really don't like Kyo's voice and looking. Miyavi I saw 1 concert and a few PVs of him and thought only that he's crazy and chhildish.... 2. Namie Amuro Her music is very estern-musoc like. And I really dislike western music....I also think her Voice/songs isn't/aren't special at all 3. Boa I don't know why I dislike her. She only looks like a Britney Spears #2 for me... I can't say if I like/dislike Mika Nakashima. Actually I don't like her Voice. But I love the 2 songs she performs for the Nana Movie (Glamorous Days & My Medicine).

I like Ayu (it's a obvious cause I'm here in AHS
 )Otsuka Ai - she's so full of life! and brings a freshness in Japanese music IMO mink - my new discover (proud) Olivia L.... - she's original and I like her rockish style X-Japan - because of their great music and because of Hide who was the best... Hitomi - for Japanese girl (yup she rocks  )Dislike - Namie Amuro - I don't like kind of music she sings and her image neither Koda Kumi - I haven't just found anything interesting in her songs... But I may be wrong of course Okay, I don't know good more bands/artists yet...

^I agree. There's a difference between Constructive Criticism and Bashing. But if you don't like them, whatever floats your boat...
Me...Otsuka Ai's a well...mixed bag. I love her ballads and do think she has great potential (and think that she's wasting a lot composing songs like ponpon and uboat), but there's something about the happy-go-lucky image that just annoys me, I don't know what...maybe I'm turning more emo everyday...  I don't really dislike any artist...because chances are if I dislike them, I won't listen to them and forget about them and can't name them as a result. Artist I like: Ayu Hikki Gackt BoA Mika Middle (mixed): Ai (leaning up the "liked") Namie (I like some of her stuff, but can't classify myself as a fan) L'arc~en~ciel: see Namie Koda Kumi: See Namie also  Dislike: can't name any...

Revolution, TM Network, Janne Da Arc, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, Tommy february/heavenly6, melody., etc. Mixed: Ai Otsuka. I love her personality, and she's cute, but the only songs I like of hers are ballads. Dislike: Mika Nakashima. I really don't like her as a singer. However, I did like her as Nana Oosaki in the NANA movie.

dislike: bad music that doesn't satisfy me.

ayu (love her) koda (love her too) namie (love her more) ai otsuka (very cute and catchy songs) Shimatani (great music, excellent voice) hitomi (songs are just great!) ito yuna (shes growing on me, if she sings more instead of just ballads) BoA (her music is just sweet) hikki (very meaningful songs) Mika Nakashima (love her soulful voice) + many more cant really say i dislike any artist.,

Remioromen, Xjapan, YUI, Moi Dix Mois, Ai Otsuka, Chieco Kawabe, Morning Musume, SweetS, Noriko Sakai (80s), Nagayama Youko (enka), Akina Nakamori (80s), Gackt, Spitz... i could go on but won't lol Middle: BoA - Now, i used to be a big fan, but over the passed year or two i've just fallen out of interest. I still listen to her occasionally and still very much like her, but not in a "WOOO BoA is teh bestest" kind of way Ueto Aya - I do love a bit of Aya Ueto, i just haven't listened to her enough to decide whether she could be a main stay in my music list (though i do SERIOUSLY love her as an actress) Dislike: Namie - i'm not saying she's bad or anything but i just can't listen to her. I find myself getting bored  OLIVIA - omg i only ever managed to listen to one of her albums 3 times and i just could not stand it in the slightest. I don't see any originality in her work whatsoever and her music just get's on my nerves >< Ellegarden - yawn nothing special here, move along now And finally, a plethora of Visual kei bands... I just can't help feeling they're just playing it safe nowadays and treading on ground that's been done before. Unless we get another person to branch out like Mana did, i can't see VK getting out of it's rut

Ayu - my favorite Shiina Ringo - amazingly unique voice and she's so creative Koda Kumi - wonderful voice, catchy songs, and I like her sexy image Namie Amuro - I actually like her music from LOVE ENHANCED to now more than her old BoA - great voice, cute songs and style Utada Hikaru - amazing voice and great lyrics/PVs/compositions Hitomi Yaida - another awesome unique voice with great songs MISIA - best voice of any J-Pop singer IMO, AMAZING! (I like more but these are my favorites) Middle: Ai Otsuka - LOVE her ballads, but her super happy songs are a little too "!!!!" Morning Musume - Some of their songs are just plain annoying (Mr. Moonlight, The Peace), but I love a lot of them (Shabondama, Do It! Now, Love Machine) Gackt - I usually don't like male singers but he has a great voice, just some of his songs don't really appeal to me Matsutoya Yumi - I'm trying to like her and I really like some of her songs, but I'm just not completely used to her voice yet Dislike: Mika Nakashima - GLAMOROUS Sky and Yuki no Hana are OK, otherwise, her musical style is too bland for me and her voice isn't really good IMO Kinki Kids - annoying songs and they aren't good singers Coconuts Musume - some of the members don't even speak a word of Japanese, plus they're annoying

Artists that continuously releases music that keeps me interested or in some other way keeps me entertained musically (f.ex a good voice could make up for a bland song) will be highest on my list.
Tops Ayumi Hamasaki - I love her voice, and her music is always worth given a first listen. Shimatani Hitomi - I also love her voice, which sometimes makes up for poor songs. SOmetimes her songs hits me like hurricanes and she also gave me my first jpop song addiction with VIOLA. Aya Ueto - her music is mostly pleasantly there. Sub-groups of H!P- THis may sound a bit uprecise, but mostly I think that the sub groups deliver stand out stuff, and a lot of it is very interesting musically also. The groups I'm referring to are groups like the summer shuffles, GAM, DEF DIVA and the like. Semi follow ups: I'm not going to write a lot on these, but they sometimes deliver songs I like and often enough to that I keep up with their releases: Mai Kuraki - Her voice is annoying in too big doses, but she has some wonderful songs Morning Musume - you can't deny the catchiness of their songs. They have one of the best and most creative pop mucisians alive making their music IMO. I like their older stuff more than the new stuff though. Rina Aiuchi - much like Mai Kuraki Aya Matsuura - hasen't released anything in a while, but I really LOVE her voice, she probably is the prototype on the type of female voice I like. But please bring back her upbeat cute stuff! KOTOKO - re-sublimity got me hooked Biyuuden - this might change if theire music doesen't improve.. "Issai gassai..." Once in a while I check these out, but mostly I find their releases dull: Maki goto along with the rest of the H!P groups, like, W and abe natsumi. Namie Amuro - some of her osngs are just really great, but mostly I think it's dull. Her last album was amazing though Ai otsuka - she used to be on my "A-List" but she got less interesting to me for each release after kingyo hanabi. Uehara azumi - recent discovery globe anna tsuchiya ami suzuki dir en grey koda kumi (how can you avoid her... O.o) l'arc en ciel (wow this listis getting too long, sorry..)
