Great analysis, thanks! Remember though, (m)u had an extra week, so it technically is a 6 week total and Utada's leading by a long shot.

Plus, BLUE BIRD isn't gonna beat Koi no Tsubomi with the sales dropping drastically every week while Koi no Tsubomi still moves a good number of copies weekly.

BLUE BIRD is also a 1 A-side single. Koi no Tsubomi just has 1 new song on it, whereas BLUE BIRD has 2. Also, Koi has 2 versions, and BLUE BIRD has 3 versions.

I'm very happy with the 4 week sales. and seriously who cares which single or album beat whos...Kumi is at the top of her career now but Ayu's not.. so it make sense that Kumi have bigger sales than Ayu...its not easy for a solo female artist after all these years in the business still have good sales, and still be at the top with the current popular artist....even though her sales dropped...but I don't care...I'm just waiting for her 10th anniversary
