Ayumi Tours

This is prolly a stupid question, but I was just wondering cuz i was just watching her concerts...what exactly do the earpieces tell during her performance. besides the fact that they cue her..i was wondering if they help her sing in harmony better, do they have her singing so she wont forget her words or something???

i was comparing times when she wears them and times she is not (like in her earlier performances) and she seems to sing better.

...just wondering

a lot of singers have dem wen dey sing live... such as Shinhwa... i think dey r for hearing ur own voice while singing... cux dere is a big crowd and u could hardly hear ur own voice... so while u sing those ear pieces would actually enable u to listen to ur own singing in case of singing off key or whatever... i dunno ju a dumb guess lol

I've seen that a lot, also with bands that play live. It's to hear themselves sing, cuz they don't hear themselves.

they used to play the music through so ayu can keep with the beat of the music. and also so she can concentrate instead of hearing the screaming crowds.

Ayu also has an ear problem, she is partially deaf in the left ear sometimes (tinnitus). This is due to overwork since she is always in high-decibel environments. You can see her turn the volume up and down during concerts so she knows how to adjust her vocals accordingly.

Like everyone's said, they're ear peices. They feed the music directly into the artists ears so that they can follow along better with the song.

i guess what sakamoto is saying is that her ear is being pulled down by the earring... making it look scary?

thats perfectly normal when ppl wear big earrings but it does make the ear seem a little odd dont you think?

It started out during her concert tour 2000 part 2, but worsened during DOME TOUR 2001. She nearly lost her entire ability to hear in her left ear after dome tour.
