Hello yall, this is my first thread here. My name is Stephen. I'm from Chicago and like many people here i'm guessing; I utterly love music. I've lived all over the USA and met many people who have shown me a variety of artists.. Then in October 06 I somehow concluded it would be good to actually import My Story. Not so long story shorter I was instantly blown away with tracks such as Inspire, Humming 7/4, Catcher, Game, About You etc.. It was rock and pop like I had never heard before and all of a sudden I was very sad.
I realized how long I could have been enjoying these things if only I knew about them earlier. What a shame. Anyhow now I own a decent stack of her albums, singles, and her My Story dvd (which I ripped the audio from and am now listening to live Ayu) and I'll take a picture some time and post it in the other thread. J-pop now makes up a quarter of my large large digital library. Ayumi Hamasaki is truly blessed. (or just extremely talented, smart, sexy, a true entrepreneur.) My life has actually gotten a little better since I started listening to music from Asia. It is just a whole new set of genres I had no exposure too and I love it. For a while I thought it was just a phase but now my music from Japan, and elsewhere, is just as important to me as the rest of my music. But then I had to buy a turntable. So now I have to buy this. Can anyone tell me if these were boxed or all sold individually? Individually I am guessing. I can find them all for sale from places like yahoo.co.jp. It sucks to shell out so much money for these but LPs, especially picture discs, are AMAZING sounding and are great to collect. Can anyone recommend any other websites for finding Japanese LPs..? I also would like some recommendations for any other lps that are awesome.. This is a bit off topic but has anyone ever heard this? Why spend so much money on records? If you know anything about digital or analog and sine waves you will know that Ayumi's voice on these LPs will sound completely realistic.. (because analog is the only real sound) and I don't have the money to fly to japan to see her in concert so some decent speakers and a turntable will do for now. |
