For me, short hair on Utada is a bad omen, her hair was short for Distance and that was my least favourite album (excluding Precious) and it was short again during Heart Station, which, while still an excellent album, was a bit of a letdown for me compared to the progress she made with Exodus and Ultra Blue. Plus I think long hair suits her more.
