^ Anna is totally Jrock. She may have some mainstream songs but she has this tough, harder edge to her. She reminds me of a more edgy and raw version of OLIVIA (Lufkin), who can have harder songs but she comes across as so vulnerable and soft most of the time.
OLIVIA's a great Jrock/Jrock-pop artist, too. I highly recommend her TRAPNEST and Lost Lolli albums. Yum!Fruit Salad!: I'd totally pre-order it, too. Hell, I'd get ten copies XD Karen: Jrock is relatively big here. It's not mainstream in terms of getting a lot of radioplay or TV time, but it IS known on certain niches of media--some radio stations that cater to rock/metal sounds will play Dir en grey for instance. A lot of the appeal lies in the Japanese-interested sub-culture, dominated by anime or video game fans. Most Jrock bands come here to play at anime conventions, for instance. Very rarely will they branch off and do their own tours or tours with western bands (MUCC, D'espa, Diru.. I think others have been here but I can't recall~) jbrat: I'm sorry! I didn't mean to =O! But I can totally understand how you feel. WE NEED MOAR, I SAY. MOARRR. Jackie: I've been waiting for Moi dix Mois to come out with other stuff, too... I really hope they don't just kinda fall off into obscurity =/ They're too good for that.
