Biggest Jpop Regret

Thought this may be an interesting topic.

What's your biggest regret in Jpop? Whether it's buying an album that was terrible, losing a disc, lending it to a friend who never returns it, forgetting to order something and missing out on a first press, etc.

I have a few.

1. Back in 2001 when I started listening, I spent way too much money buying albums/singles by artists I had only heard one song by. Big waste of money as most of the artists I ended up disliking barring the one song.

2. Selling off my Namie Amuro / Koda Kumi / BoA singles. Last year I was really struggling for money and was moving into my own house and was offered a good amount of money for these and took up the offer. I now regret it as now I only own their albums/DVD's/Blu's. I've been tempted to rebuy their singles, but since most of the content has ended up on albums that have released since, I'll probably just go forward and buy their future singles, but not back catalogue. Plus, the cost involved could go towards other future releases. - Really breaks my heart to now only have their albums, but I should be lucky I can afford those as I know many people would love to be able to buy them but find them too expensive.

3. Thinking overseas versions aren't worth it and spending my money on all Japan Versions. Sure, sometimes the packaging quality is significantly better, but when a single is twice the price for a Japan version than an overseas version, sometimes I can wait now. I have a great TV/sound system and have hardly noticed any difference in quality between the two types in the last few years. Pre 2003, there was some poor quality on the DVD's, but nothing all that noticeable now.

I know this may be a silly topic, but maybe we can all use it as a way to rant over our regrets and maybe support each other with our silly mistakes in the past.

(*hint-hint* It's okay, elaniel. Don't worry about having sold those singles, it's good your moving ahead and not spending money on lots of back catalog titles) - I need some justification for not doing so LOL
