About storage, MD's LP4 can store about 5 hours which I find is quite enough.

How much are mp3 players anyway? SONY ones usually aren't much over 200USD and often under, and other brands such as Sharp and Panasonic are generally cheaper.

Energy wise, I could go for a month without recharging even if I listen to it for an hour or two every weekday.

Though I can see why alot of people who don't purchase their music prefer mp3 players though.
Exactly. I use LP2 though when recording, which makes for a bit more than 160 minutes of music on one MD. MDs are quite cheap, so you can buy a whole bunch and use them all, instead of having just one MP3 stick and constantly having to erase and rerecord it. I currently have Fra-Foa, Envy, Mono, Hikki, Shiina and what-not MiniDiscs, and I can listen to them anytime I want. No way that's going to fit on an MP3 stick. Furthermore, I only recharge every two, three weeks. MD is brilliant, really.
