I don't like how they're making a huge deal out if it. Getting drunk is normal. I was expecting her to be without any shirt or something.

They aren't making a huge deal of the fact she's drunk. In fact, the article just mentions that as a curiosity, in a single paragraph and sentence. Getting drunk is common and socially accepted, but never normal. It isn't normal for someone to be struggling to walk, lacking coordination and needing help for doing that. She was clearly drunk and that article would be lame if they had just said she was just there signing autographs for fans like always and ommited something that was extremely evident and calling attention. She was drunk, and that had to be described.

Ahh yeah struggling to walk due to alcohol is not a good thing. My friends still remember the time when I drank nearly 12 mixed drinks in 2 hours...

I can't imagine being able to sign something when you can barely walk.

signatures don't demand much coordination anyway (you end up pointing the pen anywhere and doing the job, while walking demands a much more complex motion and uses several muscles to pace the right coordination, plus it demands that both brain hemispheres are working properly as you use both sides of your body when walking). I'm able to remove bank notes from my wallet and do other things that demand certain hand coordination when my walking is mildly impaired due to alcohol lol. Of course, I have never gone to state of having to be carried by someone though. We all know ayu bodyguards are a bit too extremists on their things, so she could have been moderately drunk, still being able to sign, walking mildly impaired by ataxis, but still noticeable by the media and giving the appearance that she was very drunk even so.

Anyway, Ayumi Hamasaki is also a human but it's not common to see her being drunk an reveal her subconscious. But, I personally like her behavior ^^
