Mr. Children is the year's top-selling artist. Period.

Because some people will write... "oh, but mr. children is a group...groups are different then solo singers...im talking about solo singers!!" (or something to that extent. So in order to avoid that, I distinguished it for these people.)

Because out of the 4 singles she's released so far, none of them have been that hit. (Although PEACH/HEART might do well)

why? in sales now mr childer has 1.1k + 0.5k. Koda kumi 1k + 0.3k. It's not a big different.. and if you add single I think kuu will beat mr children.

We're talking about album spots (or for you, only albums sales though in only albums ayu sold most album copies), not about overall yearly sales, profits or copies.

No, by only albums:

1. ayu - A BEST 2 - 1,382,079 + around 100,000 (it was more) Secret sales that entered 2007 = around 1,490,000

2. kumi - Black Cherry 999,205+BEST ~b&l~ 287,539+albums sales that entered this years = around 1,350,000 And we're talking about albums that are already released not about albums that MIGHT be released...

3. Mr. Children - 1,129,555 HOME+around 10,000 or 20,000 of album sales that entered 2007. = around 1,150,000


So by only albums sales, yes, ayu sold the most until now this year.
Remember that when you talk about only album numbers the albums need to be released first, if kumi will release another album before December of course she'll sell the most because 3 albums at a year win 1/2 albums... and they're all popular artists. And remember we're talking about only albums, if you add singles and DVDs of course kumi sold the most, and she released them lately the most too. Be exact.
