And did Kumi perform in the US?
She perfromed at a convention, where she was actually encored to sing "real Emotion" twice. I remember those who knew saying that she did perform a ballad that didn't really appeal, I guess causing the encore.

I'm sure she's aware that she has fans all over the world (as like other huge artists, such as Madonna), but I guess the time it would take would be too consuming to visit how she would want to visit. Wasn't there a report about the Asian concerts, and how much they had to ship, which was about 200 tons or something? So try taking that all the way to Europe, the US, or Canada. >.< (Haha, I just read Calico's post. It looks so similar. Gomen!)

See, the only thing is that I don't think the US market is ready for something as foreign as Ayu. Considering her best songs are mostly ALL in Japanese (only three songs from the thirty on A BEST 2 feature more than "la" in the song, which happen to be all on WHITE), it would be hard to get the one-track mind of America to accept something this exotic. Even though the market is actually getting bigger (from what I see), the material being released is declining in my opinion. So if Ayu were to release with translation sheets and get offical subs for her PVs, it could be hard to top her with her lyrics... (meaning she could be a huge threat to American artists in the same market as her)
