This is true.
I like Ayu's covers that look like they have some meaning and/or are visually pleasing and have some creativity. It also helps to look like they have some effort and thought put into them.

Magazine shots belong in magazines.

Yeah I know what you mean. Problem is that Ayumi has moved away from that direction and I admit she's more focused on pushing a bold and glamorous image. I don't mind that but I can see why some people would be disappointed.

However I still think she has put in some effort. Lately she has been trying to move towards a new direction and some of her material has been quite decent. Maybe if this new direction isn't appealing, it's time to move on and find other artists. That's what I do when I lose interest in an artist.

Get over it. I don't think the covers are her best either but if the music is good enough I'll still buy the album. Being so pissy and saying you might spend a ****ing dollar to buy a blank CD and illegally download it obviously shows you don't seem to support her too much. I'm sorry, but the dollar store and your lack of support bothered me, not at all the fact you dislike the covers.

Anyways, I wasn't a huge fan when I first viewed them, but I realized that it could be so much worse. Just look at ASfXX and (m)u's covers, they're 100X worse. And just think, it could have been Britney's Blackout cover. Lets be glad it isn't (even close to being) that bad.

I don't like the idea of multiple covers for different versions.. There should only be one cover for an album. In this case, I think the CD only would have been nice if it stood alone.

Well, at least the covers aren't pretentious..

most of you bought (m)u, and that album cover is the ugliest cover from her
so it's pretty funny to me that some people are vowing never to buy GUILTY just cause the font is "weird", and her dress is "bad"
truth is this cover is better than alot of her covers lately

Memorial Adress wasnt that good anyway. Didnt even look like her.

Memorial Address's cover didn't look like her at all! finally someone who agrees! lol. And I'm like the only one that doesn't have a problem with the (m)u covers. I think they were gorgeous.

Its the cd only that bugs people.. And the image quality was bad, like grained.

The image quality was bad, I can agree with that. But her smile on the CD only was cute, not at all monkey-ish. O.O;
on M.A. she looked like...I don't even know. She looked like a child or something. It's creepy.

at least it has an unique font, unlike Secret's normal bland font

For the people who hate the cover, I'm just curious:

Do you hate it because you expected something better or different? Or do you think it's just ugly? Granted, it's ordinary, but it's not ugly... Ayu makes that face all the time. It's nothing we're not used to. It's not like there's strawberry jelly on her face or something.

I hate to say it, I know we all love Ayu and take her music seriously.. but she's still a pop idol. Glam shots are always going to be necessary.

At least Ayu looks good on those pictures. Unlike whatever "(m)u" was supposed to be. Huge heart shape? Hands on the face? Weird forced smile? At least Ayu looks damn great on those "GUILTY" covers.

I don't like her eye candy covers either, but I don't hate them.

plus, at least this cover is an OUTSIDE shot
not just some black background or fake background
it looks like a fashion editorial, and i think it's the perfect time for ayu to have a photoshoot like that
