Donating to Ayu directly

I'm kinda not satisfied with the small profit cuts artists get from record labels and iTunes purchases; it's a ridiculously small percentage. I'd like to support the artists, not labels, in a better fashion.

So basically my question is this: Does anyone know of a way to, say, donate money to Ayu? I'd feel I'd be supporting her better this way rather than purchasing a bunch of CDs.

No offense, but it sounds kinda dumb. It would be like dropping a piece of sand into a beach. I get your point, and it would make you feel more like you actually contributed to her, but she gets plenty from avex.

I don't think you could tho, people can't even write emails to her.

^Well I don't mean literally mail something to her house. I dunno...perhaps it would be a small gesture, but if many people did it instead it would be significant.

Is this really needed? ayu doesn't earn small profits. Quite honestly, I think artists get a lot more money than they do really deserve (but this is my opinion, hope nobody comes flaming me for saying that). And let's not get into "american artists receive much more", I really think what american artists receive is pathetic (not pathetic as in earning little but actually earning way too much). But then this is the business world we're talking about and there's no use ranting about it.

Let's think like this: ayu's job depends on AVEX. It was avex that discovered ayu and it was avex who helped ayu to be who she is now. I still think if it weren't for avex, ayu would just have been one more of those lost AIDORUs. If you want to support ayu, buy her CDs, DVDs and products. Make sure to keep avex and her strong. I don't really think other labels (SONY, GIZA, EMI...) would give ayu the respect she has now.

It's a generous thought, but I agree with ImpactBreaker with supporting her by buying her products etc.

By doing that your giving AVEX more reason to keep supporting her like they do.

I'm sure she makes a good amount of money as it is now, so by supporting her the 'conventional way', you're helping to ensure that that continues.

Plus, Ayu doesn't only get money from CDs, and DVDs. She gets paid to go on those shows, go in those CMs, advertise, go in magazines, have concerts.... whatever it is she does that promotes her and AVEX.

So basically, buying her records etc. is the best way, imo, to support her.

Also, I don't think you can just send money to people like that =S

Ayu doesn't need more money than she already has.

Just knowing how much she spends on Louis Vuitton bags and Manolo shoes...

I believe that in the United States artists generally get a much higher cut of merchandise and CDs sold at concerts compared to stuff sold in stores. So if you want to support American artists buy everything at their shows, but I'm not sure if it's the same in Japan.

Is a very nice thought of you! but as it has been suggested the only way to support her is buying her stuff, when you belive something is good then buy it.

Happy New year to ya!!! and to ayu! n_n

ya know, it's as simple as this:
Ayu's subordinate to AVEX, which means that the peepz in AVEX are like her boss or smth.
So...if we byu the CDs/DVDs, we support AVEX and Ayu at the same time, 'cause she's bein' paid by AVEX. So there's no need for an extra donation at all ;-)
