Have your parents ever liked any Japanese songs?

It's funny to imagine that my mother suddenly loves to listen Japanese songs, in spite that she can't understand any of the lyrics...
most of the time she listens to classic jpop like: Takahashi Mariko, The late Teresa Teng, Toshinobu Kubota(La la la love song), CHEMISTRY(My gift to you,), Hikki Utada(Time will tell, A.S.A.P)etc..
But unfortunately, she can't relate to Ayu's songs which makes me sad...

My dad likes Hikki and my mom likes Ayumi...my mom likes her songs like Dearest, who..., RAINBOW, trauma, etc.

Haven't really introduced my parents to J-Pop. But my mom does like the Korean singer Rain. My dad? Uh uh. But my little sister (age 7) loooooooves AAA. She's hooked on Kimono Jet Girl . So am I, but I like to keep that underwraps.....

I'm not sure what my mom thinks of it.. she doesn't seem to mind most of the time. :3 During the time when I was obsessed with Miyavi, she asked to listen to some of his songs, and said she liked his voice. As for Ayu, I listen to her a lot in the car and never get any comment out of her. But last night I was about to put a CD in and she said "I don't want to listen to Japanese music again!" Maybe she was in a bad mood? xD;

My little sisters don't really care, and my dad could care less about what I like. -__-;

The only one who actually likes Japanese music in my family is my cousin Ryan. I let him listen to L'Arc~en~Ciel's 'Smile' and he loved it so much he bought the CD for himself! He mostly listens to music from anime, though.

My mom doesn't mind Ayu when I show her videos and such. She also thinks MUCC are pretty good, "I think they sound really good, but who knows what they're singing about..." lol. But, it's not like she goes out of her way to listen to anything though.

Well... my dad is cool (sometimes) bcoz he lets us lesten to ayumi( except 4 the tecno ones, bcoz he says the give him headaches),but my mom REALLY hates ayumi (She hates her voice so in purpose , my sis and i listen to her first albums only when she's around xD) but my mom LOVES Crystal Kay, she even dances !!!! o.O And well my sis & i luv the same singers: Ayumi Hamasaki, Koda Kumi, Utada Hikaru, Ayaka, Aqua Timez,Ai Otsuka, etc!!
She's a really cool sis!!
