^ But thats exactly what a german label did for one of their singers, a german-idol fourth place, they bought tons of her albums so she would be high in the charts(and she ended up performing for Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 I think...), if Avex did that, people would be like: Wow, that compilation suddenly got into the top 30(or something) again, if its that great, ill buy it! xD

But AVEX prefers money over everything. And unlike German labels AVEX sells loads of cds every year so they don't care if she'll sell 500 copies more or not.

Interesting idea. Seems really risky though, judging that japanese sales r super front-loaded n hype dies down really fast. The hype would have to be created early on in this case. Like avex could pre-order a ton of albums before it's released.
