it still managed to clear 100K after all

hopefully You were ... / BALLAD will do better , much much better :S

Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~ isn't certificated...

very true, and i have high hopes for Yw/B now. i mean, the single obviously sounds ballad-y and the Japanese tend to have a favoritism towards winter ballads. plus, it'll be holiday season!

That's true. Everyones saying that she didn't really promot it. This might be true for Rule/Sparkle and NEXT LEVEL - which was poorly promoted. But Sunset/Sunrise wasn't. So you cannot really say that.

She isn't the only one who should promote her singles, she did all she could, however I am pretty sure AVEX didn't.

I dunno, I know almost nothing about managing a record label there is always something that can be done. They could've organized hand shaking events or a small outdoor concert on a beach, they could've made more versions of the single with DIFFERENT (and appealing) covers, throw in some more remixes or add other bonuses, make a Barby doll that looks like Ayu on the covers (she already looks plastic enough in that photo), I dunno there are other more creative ways to promote a release other than billboards and music/o.jp CMs - in other words make the release more worthy of the money that you want people to spend. I mean I ordered the CD only version and I didn't even bother opening it, as I already downloaded the songs and there was nothing interesting inside xD
