The covers are AWESOME!! They are almost as good as the Mirrorcle World ones The date change is very annoying specially because we won't be able to know the exact amount of sales until 2010 due to Oricon's holidays...

発売日変更について

ニューシングル「You were... / BALLAD」の発売を12月16日と告知しておりましたが、タイアップ時期、及び、プロモーション展開上 の理由により、発売日を12月29日に変更させて頂くことになりました。
皆様にはご迷惑をおかけしますが、ご了承のほど、よろしくお願い致します。

This was their reasoning for changing the date.

Something about promotional reasons, or something? [Though we sort of know that Masaharu might've been part of it.]

Now that it's moved though, some seem to think that it'll be in the same Oricon week as the 3 limited Kanjani 8 special Christmas singles [GIFT -red/green/white-]

NOO!! Why did they have to move the date!? I was hoping my parents could buy this as my christmas present and have it on the 24th! I'm even planning to not listen to a single preview of any of the songs so that I can get into the feeling of them on christmas eve, but alas. I hope I can get it as a belated christmas present at least, I really want this single, but I doubt I'd be able to have the money myself.
Not to mention the fact that the sales will prolly go down a bit compared to if it had been released before christmas, making people buy it as christmas presents; the days before christmas are the days when sales are best during the whole year when it comes to these things, after all.
Anyway, enough about my criticism, the TINKERBELL MOVIE? Woah, where did That come from? Well, Tinkerbell is a well known Disney figure, so hopefully it will act as good promotion. Though the promo pictures are bit weird; a too white Ayu against a blue background? No, it doesn't appeal all that much to me, but Ayu does look nice. But I guess they have to suffice, with those clothes and the christmas theme in it I think it's hard to make a good picture. The dress should have more colorful details, completely white doesn't fit her, IMO. Especially with the kind-of tanned skin, the dress melts into the background too much.
Unnecessarily long post, wooh. I'm veery, VERY excited for this single! I hope the songs will be awesome, and a RETAKE VERSION with Different Vocals!? That's amazing, I will love to hear it!

I think that the covers are very pretty, but they seem like typical winder ballad covers. Kinda like Kuu's stay with me, or Kana Nishino's latest release. I love love love the promo pics, though.

Waiitt... I thought the double week was the LAST week of December and the FIRST week of January? Kanjani 8 is in the NEXT TO LAST week of December-- meaning no going up against Ayu.

Or at least that's what I thought. :S

Anyway~ They're releasing three singles in 3 days, how many people will actually buy all of them? I don't think it'll be that much of a threat to her.

But the only problem is that they're releasing THREE SEPARATE singles, not a single with three versions - and it's only available in limited release...

Did they state how many they say? I mean, Ayu's going on one, but Kanjani 8 is releasing three limited-release singles - could we really calm down?

Unless it's too much, maybe Ayu still has confidence - only thing is that she's facing Johnnys, which could be a threat, but the only caveat is that it's only limited release, and they're releasing three singles - of course...
