Anyway, Rated R is slooowly growing on me. I like Fire Bomb now, and Stupid In Love. Rude Boy has a catchy tune, but I'm not quite over my shock at the lyrics.

I find her "gangsta girl" image in G4L really... not good lol. Like, the beat and the music is SO HOT but the lyrics are such a turn off.

I really don't know why so much people here are saying this direction with Rated R is new and bad.
In fact it isn't like somebody already postedt here, she was dark and heavy before. I like her new album, I love Russian Roulette and Wait your turn.

And of course this album is about her experiences with Chris Brown. Every artist who has some power over the own image and material will use their own epxeriences. So of course this album would be about Chris Brown, it affected Rihanna so much and the album is a way for her to get over it. So it's absolutely fine.

I personally love her edgy image, but what I don't like are these kind of lyrics:

And she already said the album was a way for her to get over everything, why people are making a fuss about it, I don't know.

It's more kind of satirical and cynical, cause the life is so bad sometimes and you feel so bad sometimes you just have the strong will to become a gangster, to getrid of this bad feeling. Well, that's the way I understand it. Reading between the lines.

The lyrics to me mean when life gets you down, just stand right up. Be tough and don't let life knock you down for long. And then go after the person who knocked you down. Revenge is sweet

I don't personally believe that revenge is a good path to take everytime. Sometimes you just gotta let it go. But Britney can sing about having a threesome and it's the thing to do and people love it.

Rated R is kinda growing on me. I still think it's a step in the wrong direction for her, but the songs aren't as bad as I originally thought <3

Hard MV is supposed to be released today. Not sure when though. I hear 4pm but after the whole Beyonce/Lady Gaga MV mess up I'm just waiting for it to appear online. Still not a major fan of the song but maybe the mv will make it more interesting for me.
