^ Not directly. In post #233 I mentioned that she would appear in a "Tunnels no Minasan Okagedeshita" episode, but never posted any further information about it. That clip above is from that episode. I have watched it myself, but the others probably haven't. Thanks for sharing it here! Tunnels clips are funny. I also enjoyed the Bones episode and want her to return.

Oh, and the song is 青い珊瑚礁 (Aoi Sangoshou).

@Yoake: Blame Avex Entertainment. They copyright claim and take down stuff all the time. Especially if its their own material.

◆ 05/26 New Album　「My Prelude」　リリース決定！

◆ 30th Anniversary SEIKO MATSUDA CONCERT TOUR 2010 My Prelude　決定！

New original album has been announced. Seiko's 44th original studio album. Release on 5/26. Her summer concert tour will also have the same name. Can you believe that it has already been two years since "My pure melody". More details to come.



In other news, Fuji TV drama "Team Batista 2 ~ General Rouge no Gaisen" ep01 aired an hour ago in Japan. The theme song is "Ikutsu no Yoake wo Kazoetara". The new song sounds like a typical Seiko ballad tune. I need to hear it again before I can give my verdict, though. It was quite difficult to listen to it properly, as the actors were speaking at the same it was played in the background. My plan is to provide an audio rip soon, hopefully already by tomorrow.



In any case, it's awesome that team Shiratori and Taguchi are back in action (referring to characters in the drama).

They also showed the new Diosa CM during one of the CM breaks.

One of the main reasons they picked her for Bones was because of her English ability. I'd say she has been close to fluent since early to mid 90's. Back in 1988, she released "Citron", an album which had American producers working on it, and several of the songs included countless of English words and sentences. 1990 debut in USA. Also in the 90's, most of her (if not all) dancers were American. It goes without saying that she was required to use another language than Japanese if she felt the need to communicate with them.

Here we have Seiko and 河合奈保子 (Naoko Kawai) singing ふりむかないで (Furimukanaide), original song by ザ・ピーナッツ (The Peanuts) in 1962. The song was also later on covered by Wink in 1992. Seiko and Naoko both debuted in 1980. They were not only fellow idol rivals, but also very good friends.

It seems Seiko will appear on NHK SONGS next month to promote "My Prelude" and new single. This is awesome because they always perform multiple songs. I wonder if Yazima Beauty Salon will drag her along to Music Station in the upcoming weeks, too. Yazima usually performs on MSta. It would be the first time in eight years. The 4/24 MUSIC FAIR broadcast is already confirmed. What other shows are there? I would say that HEY!x3 and The Music Hour (the "new" UTABAN) are still possible. Especially considering that she sings the theme song for Team Batista 2. Both HEY!x3 and Team Batista 2 are broadcasted by Fuji TV.

The wake-up song was 瑠璃色の地球 (Ruri-iro no Chikyuu) of Seiko's 1986 released SUPREME album.

Not bad! It also probably helped that Toru Nakamura (actor in the drama) spoke about Seiko quite a lot on Waratte Iitomo, three days ago.
