the new song sounds good! I love the part when they swirl the towel together in the chorus of JIDAISHIN. And the words "mawase" in the lyrics means "swirl"

It's only available through mu-mo, sorry, and unfortunately they're SOLD OUT, so they're literally out of print, double sorry here...

Ok... I'm not sure if it's the initial "OMG DAI IS RELEASING NEW STUFF" -hype that does it for me, but I think EIGHT is their best album. It may not have some HUGELY STRONG songs that outshine everything like their other albums (Umareyuku Monotachi e on ETERNAL FLAME, Shinjitsu no Uta and Ai no Uta on TRUE SONG, Oasis on BREAK OF DAWN and Hiiragi on GATES OF HEAVEN - my personal favorites), but it makes up for that by being steadily awesome from the start to finish. There's not a single song that sounds bad on this album. And all the songs are so energetic it's unbelievably infectuous! Special makes me wanna dance, 1/100 always makes me sing my heart out with it though I barely know the lyrics, everytime Kimi ga Inai Mirai starts playing I want to jump around like crazy. Maybe it's just me, but these tracks really have something!

So... uh, anyone else heard the album yet?

I don't know what it is, but for me it's just lacking something special. I feel pretty let down by it, lol. The single tracks are great, but I find the album tracks so forgettable.

My favorite tracks beside the single tracks are Boku ga Egaiteta Boku, Special and Hand in Hand. Everytime I listen to Boku ga Egaiteta Boku I feel like sing along XD
ZENTA is an awesome songwriter IMO Both Meramera, Timeless, and now this Boku ga Egaiteta Boku sound great to me.
I think this album is easy listening compared to their previous works. Yes I agree it doesn't have any special song that sounds better far than another, all songs are same enjoyable for me and I can listen them again and again.
The only thing that quite disappointed me was they choose Everything will be alright to be included in this album. I personally prefer Piledriver or HARUKA.
On another forums, some people also got various comments on EIGHT.. There's some who love this so much and another didn't. I think it's not a big problem, everyone has their own taste of music
I'm waiting for my copy to be arrived.. Maybe next week since I ordered from mumo and it's pretty complicated journey: mumo send to my friend's friend who lives in Jpn, my friend's friend send to my friend, then he send it to me LOL

By the way, EIGHT got #2 at Oricon on its first day sales. Now it dropped to #6. I hope it will stay in Top 10.

^I have nothing against Everything will be alright, but I would've wanted HARUKA on the album. If only for the "Ryo is singing!" -novelty factor.

I think it's really hard to pick favorites from this album because the steady quality. If I had to name some, I'd probably say Special, 1/100, Boku ga Egaiteta Boku and Kimi ga Inai Mirai.

And wow, you really have quite a few middlemen to get the album to you. Let's hope it'll arrive as soon as possible.

I also hope EIGHT will stay in top 10. I think it deserves chart succes.

... Wouldn't it be funny if it ended up being #8 on the weekly chart though?

^ Haha.. Not only bcoz Ryo is singing, Everything will be alright is my least favorite song from Infinity 2 single.
I feel a bit regret to bought mumo version, at first I thought they give full concert of 11th Anniversary on DVD bonus, but it's only 3 songs. If I bought from CDJapan I should have poster and I want it more than the DVD.
Yea it's really funny if it ends up in #8 on weekly chart. Well, at least please stay on Top 10. It's not really bad

Yes, this is the weakest album. There is no surprised at all in this album for me. I miss DAI songs before NEED YOUR LOVE. You could hear how crazy they are in making great songs.

The only song I like in EIGHT is 1/100.

Oh, it seems EIGHT landed on #4 on the Weekly Oricon Charts. That's AWESOME! I'd gladly share the sales number, but, as humiliating it is to admit this, I can't navigate the Oricon website well enough to find out the sales. So I'd really appreciate it if someone looked them up
