Man, they were ridiculously adorable, weren't they? I've never seen that particular video before, so that was fun. Thanks!

Pink Lady have a ridiculously awesome weeks-to-singles ratio, don't they? Took B'z almost 5 times as many singles to even approach the number of weeks that Pink Lady were on top. That's nuts! O_O!!

LOL @ the who is Pink Lady comments. They were pretty much what defines most J-pop idols, look them up when you get a chance. (that reminds me that I've been meaning to get their latest GH album lol)

Great position for Ayu, pretty sure she can break top 3 or even top 2.

Not trying to say it's not impressive, but sales were much, MUCH lower in the 70s than afterwards. The 80s was a period of booming sales for music in Japan. The first million selling album wasn't released until the second half of the seventies.

There wasn't as much competition, so if you were popular, you were REALLY popular. Not really fair to compare that to a group like B'z, who were popular in a time of extreme competition (although in their age sales were also at their peak.)

As happy as i am for Ayu, all I can think is that I hope this post makes more people fall in love with Pink Lady. THEY ARE SO AWESOME! And reunited this year!
