Son Dam Bi to return to the music scene in August

‘Dancing queen’ Son Dam Bi, who announced her comeback for next month, has unfortunately pushed it back to August.

According to Pledis, Son Dam Bi plans on releasing her new album immediately after her drama, MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘, comes to an end

With a total of 50 episodes, ‘Light and Shadow’ began airing in November of 2011 and was scheduled to end in May, which initially lead Son Dam Bi to make her return in July. However, due to the 14-episode extension of ‘Light and Shadow’, the singer and actress had no choice but to delay her comeback to a later date in August.

Although August will overlap with the 2012 London Olympics, Son Dam Bi has decided to release her album right after ‘Light and Shadow’ ends filming as it will be her first comeback in two years.

Som Dam Bi released her album ‘The Queen‘ in July of 2010 and her digital single,’dB Rider‘, two months later. Despite her busy schedule for the MBC drama, the singer has been preparing for her upcoming album since the second half of last year. She has completed recording the album and mastering the choreography for her comeback song. All that is left is to begin filming the music video.

A representative from Pledis stated, “As this is her first comeback in a while, she is aiming to perfect her comeback preparation. Although her comeback has been delayed, we will take advantage of the extra time to better prepare for it.”

SON DAM BI COMEBACK UPDATE!

Singer Son Dam Bi revealed a photo taken during a photo shoot for a jacket filming.

On July 4, she posted on her Twitter "I'm filming my album jacket right now. They sent me snacks. I'll eat it well. A mojito needs to have alcohol in it. Please expect a lot for the jacket," along with a photo.

In the revealed photo Son Dam Bi is wearing a tight black dress while holding up the snacks in her hand. Her bright smile makes her defined features appear even more beautiful.

'Solo Queens' BoA and Son Dam Bi, "We Meet Again"

The comeback of the two 'queens' is shaking the media. Singers BoA and Son Dam Bi will be going on stage after their 2 year hiatus. The two have not done music since 2010, attracting even more attention and expectations. They had gone on stage together back then around the same time, but they will once again compete each other face to face.

BoA will be starting the race. She will be releasing her 7th album, Only One, on July 28. This will be the first time since BoA's debut to have the song she wrote herself as the title song. Also, her dance, which is in the form of a story, is centered around 'lyrical hip-hop'. Her agency SM Entertainment said, "Through the new album, we hope to show the matured BoA who will be showing different musical colors."

Son Dam Bi will be having her comeback at the beginning of August. Until now, she's been working as an actress, but she will be going back to her original career of being a singer.

For the new album, Son Dam Bi worked with the famous songwriter Brave Brothers. Brave Brothers have written other songs for Son Dam Bi, such as "I'm Crazy' and "Saturday Night." Son Dam Bi's agency said, "We prepared a colorful performance to match the summer season. I think it will be good for the fans who missed Son Dam Bi's original color."

Son Dam Bi and Ailee won’t make an August comeback

One of the most anticipated match-ups this year has been pushed back.

Both Son Dam Bi and Ailee were planning a mid-August comeback. However, due to several unexpected circumstances, both singers have pushed back their comeback dates. The much anticipated solo female match-up has been unfortunately pushed back.

A representative of Son Dam Bi’s entertainment company said, “Nothing exact has been decided, but a mid-August comeback will be unlikely. We’re thinking about an early September release if the production wrap up goes well.”

Ailee’s representative said, “We’ve decided to push back Ailee’s comeback and have her focus on her TV activities, performances, and other schedules. Though we haven’t decided on an exact date, the production of the comeback album is going well.”

News of the two singers’ delayed comeback is a disappointment to many. We can only hope for the rest of the album production to proceed without hitch and for these two amazing women to comeback soon!

Son Dam Bi sets her comeback date to October 8th

After delaying her return numerous times, soloist Son Dam Bi has finally set her comeback date to October 8th!

According to a source in the music industry, Son Dam Bi has her eyes set on an October 8th comeback and is now putting the finishing touches on her album.

The singer will be releasing a mini-album which will contain five tracks in total and her title song will be a dance track composed by Brave Brothers, known for composing Son Dam Bi’s “Crazy” and “Saturday Night“.

A representative of her agency recently spoke with Star News, stating, “In order to present fans with a better stage performance, Son Dam Bi made several changes to her choreography, resulting in her comeback being delayed. We plan on concluding her music video filming immediately after the Chuseok holiday and fans will be able to see her on stage again.”

With Son Dam Bi’s comeback date announced, this means there will be a face-off against Brown Eyed Girls‘ Ga-In, who also announced her solo comeback for October 5th.

Both artists will be making their return to the music scene after a long delay, their previous solo albums were released back in 2010.

i have to agree that brave brothers songs lately haven't been their best, but they still grow on me i remember i used to HATE Rania's PopPopPop and Sistar's So Cool but they grew on me and i'm still loving both songs
