itunes question

So I have a question about itunes.
My old computer was fryed and I managed to get take that itunes folder and put it on an new computer,
my question though...
how do I get all my old play numbers and stuff over to the new computer??
Is there a way to load my ipod onto the computer with out having to erase to link up to a new computer??

I don't really think you can move that information over. You'll have your music though, right?

Yeah you can't move that over. I think the only way to get your play counts to transfer from one computer to another is if you do like I did when I got a new iMac. You transfer every bit of data/settings/etc from your old computer to the new. Otherwise, I think you're out of luck.

Fresh starts are nice though, so don't worry!

I don't know if it's the same as Mac... There's this file I have that has that data you want. 'iTunes Music Library.xml' or an iTunes folder that was created in the music folder. One time I deleted it because I thought it was useless and ended up losing my counts and such. (oops.) I'm guessing it should be in the Programs > iTunes...?

you can
you need the libary file which is in the itunes media older

open itunes while holding the shift button and it will ask you to search for an libary
open the old libary file and everthing will be back
