It reminds me of L, but you need to know that the L covers wasn't the first "mask"-themed covers.
Misono (Koda Kumi's sister) explored it way before with her album -Sei-say (2008):

The mask covers are terrifying in any ways lol. Ayu's really beautiful on L covers, but every time I look at her hand holding the mask... OMG WHAT IS THAT

Rainy Days and Will are definitely a couple of my favourite Ayumi ballads.

She has so mannnnny gorgeous ballads such as RAINBOW, Dolls, walking proud, WILL, Ballad, Sweet Scar...and even beloved (why everybody hate this song so much??)

and related to ayu's look..I didn't like that much her pinky "Party Queen" hair.
