live performance that got you into ayu

hello everyone!!
I was thinking that everyone must have a live performance which got him/her into ayu, that one live performance which made you want to see more of her, thAt made you think "woah she's amazing/this is epic". The performance that made you fall in love with ayu because of whatever reason! It can be from a TV live, a concert or whatever you like Let us know which it was by posting in here a video of it (if available, otherwise just state the title of the song being performed) and from where/when it has been taken, plus a comment of why you fell in love with that particular performance back in the days. Let's make a collection of her most beautiful performances for everyone to see, it will be an occasion to share what you think is watch worthy with all the fans.

For me it was evolution from AT 2007. It was the first performance I watched and I remember totally hatin' on ayu because I thought she was another of those silly popstars. Hovewer while watching this performance I felt that I needed to know more, see more, hear more. I loved it, it was love at first sight.

can't make previews, CLICK ME FOR THE VIDEO

video taken from secsecsae.

is this LOVE? from Arena Tour 2006

Ayu was rocking out and commanding that stage like nobody's business. It didn't matter to me that she was singing in a language I did not understand. She was performing that song with every part of her being. Her vocals are not always the best but she sings with emotion and that is what I love about her.

I got into Ayu before her lives, but the live that I saw first was...

So.. we seem to share the same love at first sight, tsumekaze. Nice!

When I was looking for famous japanese singers years ago.. ayumi hamasaki popped up.

When I was looking for ayumi hamasaki's most famous songs.. evolution popped up.

And when I typed ayumi hamasaki evolution on google.. the AT07 performance popped up.

Yes! First song ever heard in that amazing live version.

How could I not fall in love with her?

I love that one. I know exactly what you mean. She has this "the stage is MINE." aura. That charisma is what won me over. And as you said, despite knowing the language or not, one can ALWAYS understand what the song is about. She sings with all her being, and the emotions are conveyed, always. She said once that because she's not capable of conveying things using words she started making music with the purpose of conveying all those emotions inside her. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED GIRL.

for real? you can't know how EXCITED this just got me. I'm jumping haha. I was hooked from the gaze she gives at the very start to the audience, before she even started singing. That "me is da queen u gonna luv me" look. you all know which one, right.

The whole story with Ayu started with my friend just mentioning her and i downloaded completely random album and it was "My story - classical". I was completely under the spell of her voice and the production so i decided to find a concert. So again randomly i picked first thing that appeared on emule, "Countdown 04/05". I was totally brought down to my knees from first seconds with "Whatever" performance. That is simply amazing live and stunning beginning of the concert. Whole concert is very nice, can't forget Immature, Fly high, M...

It was kind of even stronger and shocking for me due to the fact that the first album i listened to was classical so i had impression this is her main style xD

Asfxx a-nation 08 And then I watched divided parts of RnRC, which were nostalgic as hell too.

At first I knew her through M pv, and I thought damn this girl can sure go high (totally clueless about J-pop). Then I went on wiki and read the FULL article of her → the moment I became an Ayufan.

Her Evolution performance from Tour of Secret in 2007. It blew me away and I thought it was such a beautiful performance. It's still one of my favorites to this day.

Seasons live at Music Station (June 9, 2000) was the first ever Ayu live video I've seen and is also the one that got me into Ayu.

I had (Miss)Understood, Secret and My Story before I had a live dvd.
my first was the Arena Tour 2006 - (Miss)Understood, and I was totally blown away by the opening with the performance of 'Born To Be..'

Very good question! The live that made me love ayu was "~Untitled for her~" from Countdown Live 2007-2008. Even though I didn't know the lyrics, when I saw ayu crying I understood everything she was trying to convey. It also brought me to tears. I absolutely love this performance.....it also was one of my first live videos of ayu

But yeah, it was either A Song for ×× from A Museum or HANABI from a-nation '05 that made me go crazy about her.
