so i got back into arisu9 a lot lately. Their latest single is fabolous. SHINING will be out this february, the 26th if I'm not wrong!!!!!! You can listen in youtube.

I've also watched their latest live on dvd, court of 9 #4. THESE GUYS ROCK they've grown up so muchhhh ;-; and my shou is fab as always u_u

As for their new stuff: sadly I don't like it all, but their current single is really enjoyable to me actually.

As for their latest singles, they sure experimented a lot but maybe you could like songs like kasumi, hello world, apocalypse and subete he from 9 (very gemini-like) and NEMESIS, SHADOWPLAY, karma, exist, kaysen zenya.
I don't know if you have listened to them, I just listed my favs from the latest eras ^^

To be honest, I don't remember anymore when I actually stopped following them properly.. ;_;
I miss them a lot actually and would like to see them live again as well

I was the same as you, listened them for years then I kind of let go for two years and got back into their music and into following them some months ago. What worked for me was seeing their latest dvd, court of 9. It really is worth a view!
too bad they don't release blu rays, urgh.

They're an awesome band imo, it's rare to find bands with their artistic sense nowadays! yes the cover for SUPERNOVA are lovely. I also love the concept of it! I love the regular edition's one but want to buy the limited for its contents so I'm very confused haha.

And I'm glad you liked the translation, I just thought the lyrics were so beautiful they should have been known to the entire world (so biased lol) ^^

Yes I was sunrize. I changed my name sometime in January, I don't even know why. I just wanted something new..everyone changes their name almost on a daily basisand I never did ..so..xD;

I don't really have much interesting stuff to say, but I can try to post a bit more and be more active ;;

I think I also have been "away" from their fandom for at least two years as well.
It was also this way, that I haven't exactly kept up with what they were doing.
But if I found out that they had released a single or album somehow, I gave it a listen anyway because I used to be a big fan.

I prefer the CD only cover as well, and usually I'm someone who buys limited editions (or CD+DVD editions ) XD

I just looked at the tracklist for court to 9, and it's like GOLD! wow I think I do have to watch this one.
( But I know if I do, I will miss them tons after that xD )

I had some CD'S and DVD'S of them ( older stuff of course) , but I gave all of it to my sister since she used to be a huge fan of them as well xD

This thread needs more people posting as well. I noticed, or at least it seems as if J-rock isn't all that popular. Most threads seem to be for J-pop Artists.

I personally liked their Jewels single a lot as well as RAINBOWS
but Blue Flame was also pretty nice in my opinion.
( I actually like most of their singles)
Though, My taste is extremely weird anyway..>.<

awww lucky sister!!! Yup there aren't many people who post in here but we can start, it's nice that this thread is getting a bit of attention, I'm very happy! I also PMed a moderator to see if I could create a new thread updated, I think that would help. I'd also post useful links u_u
Btw I think that because this forum is about ayuchan most of the people who come in here are actually interested in JPOP, not j-rock. But alice nine are really particular when it comes to j rock. They also do pop and many experimental things so... ♥

I'd also recommend SHADOWPLAY, WHITE PRAYER (don't really like the b-side tho), CROSS GAME (the title song sucks imo but mugen is a whole piece of perfection. Do listen to it.), HANA (perfection), stargazer: (in particular karma, the bonus track, senkou and niji no yuki (NEMESIS is love)

I hope you will be able to update the thread. I think this would help many people to get some more up-to date information on the band , as well as their upcoming and latest releases as well. Maybe that's why not many people post here, since they don't know about them , or the thread is just very old in general.

I never saw Alice Nine as pure J-rock to be honest. There are so many bands who are "harder" with their sound and such.
And you are right, this is an Ayu forum after all so of course most people will be listening to that mainly. xD

Niji no Yuki was lovely!
come to think of it, I enjoy most of their singles actually.
I mean there is always one title I really like on it.

My sisters favorites used to be TSUBASA and Fantasy
I think she loved White Prayer as well.

Yes they are not very hardcore when it comes to rock. Maybe that's why I love them, I'm not a fan of heavy rock in general but there are some songs which have this alice niney atmosphere which I just love. Like the whole trilogy of gemini. That is truly something.
(Plus the flawless voice of my lovely vocalist WHO IS DEFINETELY NOT MY ETERNAL BIAS NO)

Haha, I really like their singles as well! Because they are 5 people with 5 different tastes when it comes to music (ex. shou is into pop music, tora into metal, hiroto into indie rock/rock, saga into indie etc.) they are able to create different songs with very different sounds and I think everyone will be able to enjoy at least one song each time from their singles or albums! If you take niji no yuki, for example, the title track and karma are two worlds apart, it's hard to believe they are the same band from the same single!

Have a good watch~ urgh I hate tsubasa. But the reprise made me like it a bit more!

I like some hard stuff but not all. It really depends on the song actually.
I like to listen to some Heavy Metal for example yet not all Metal genres are to my liking.

My sister used to be so in love with Shou, haha xD
My favorite member is and will always be Hiroto<3
But look wise I got my hair styled a lot like Tora's.

I think it's good they try to do so many different things with their songs though,
that way, it never gets boring and there is always a surprise in some way.
Because you can't exactly tell how it will sound in the end.
Will it be a hard rock song? or more pop like?
with Alice Nine you can expect anything, in a good way usually xD

My fav member is shou, I'm very biased over him. The second fav one is hiroto♥ he's so cute right? aw.
