I feel like there are a lot of new singers with amazing and beautiful voice. But their songs are so generic and already heard that I feel jaded and desperate.
For example I listened to Leo Ieiri's first album after its release. She has a nice voice and her technique is awesome however none of the songs stays in my mind. It's the same thing for Aoi Eir. Though, I fell in love with Lapis Lazuli recently ( my love for Arslan Senki had to help a little ^_^).

I suppose I need to stop to expect that each new singer that I'm trying will revolutionize the Jmusic.

I tried Itano Tomomi's last single but really it's a waste to give her such songs who could be amazing with a real strong voice. She should take vocal lesson with a teacher who could improve her voice.

I've just come across a new duet called Faint⋆Star. Their debut album is out a week ago.

Meiri Alaha isn't debut officialy yet but some songs are already published on youtube. She's a singer-dancer influenced by Rnb and 70’s funk according to her official website.

Itano Tomomi's last single is AMAZING. Truly shows her skills imo. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXX1YtcofbQ The B track slays as hell.

She always has amazing bsides. Man up! from COME PARTY is one of my faves from her. From this new single I listened only the aside which is nice but abit ruined by her weak voice. But I.ll definitely check the bsides.

One female artist I just stumbled about is KIRA.

She's an urban, dancehall and reggea/reaggeaton inspired artist (similar to MUNEHIRO) and just released her debut album "Listener Killer" in February this year. She's officially active since 2012, most collabo songs from earlier are on the album (she started with those like most of the artists from this genre).
If you like upbeat and dance with a strong voice, check her out.
She's currently nominated as Next Break Artist at the VMAJs with her PV for Nadeshiko SOUL.

If somebody wants the album, I can upload.

^I will try this artist as you shared the album.

I discovered a very atypical artist. If you like only the mainstream or the edm and so on go on your way because her music is very non-conformist, original and modern.

Here is the profil of Hatis Noit

Quote:
Female vocalist, born in Shiretoko (Hokkaido), Japan. She draws on her experience with ballet, theater arts, traditional folk music, koto, gagaku (the court music of ancient Japan) and acting in Japan. Vocalist for the band Mutyumu (Virgin Babylon Records hosted by world's end girlfriend) who is highly rated both in Japan and overseas. In addition, her performance as Magdala at the Setouchi International Triennale 2013 is still fresh in memory. She has been engaged in solo carrier. She interprets own singing based on a classical music, ethnic music, whisper, and poetry reading. Thus she establishes solemn and formidable world music. Her performance - corroboration with art, apparel and theater arts - are highly regarded. In 2013, she took part in a YAGYA's (Iceland)'s song as vocalist (released by DELSIN RECORDS, Amsterdam). her 1st solo album “Universal Quiet” was released in 2014.

Mutyumu (the sound is more "classic")

Magdala (idem)

So I finally found time to try KIRA and all I have to say is YES! Her first album is really good, and some tracks, such as Kataomoi, Saigo no Yakusoku, Nadeshiko SOUL and JEALOUSY, are just amazing. Thanks for the recommendation, Corvina! Next up, KIRA's new mini-album!

charisma.com is absolutely fantastic! they're been on my radar for a little while now (bought ai ai syndrome, soon di stopping). they feed a desire for newness and fill the void left by halcali. can't not love them.
i've had a crush on Hanae for a while too now.
Hitomi Kaji is interesting. I want to like her way more than I do, but her songs are just...kinda bland. :/ There is something there though. She kind of reminds me Takasugi Satomi in a few ways, which is worisome. Takasugi had two good albums, a third that was bland, followed by a cover album on a different label. Now, her official website links you back to her talent agent's headsheet. She had soo much potential!!! ;__________;

Faint⋆Star reminds me of Vanilla Beans. Cute stuff.
Aoi Eir and Leo Ieri are both cool too, if familiar sounding in the vaste soundscape of jpop. These are girls whose development will be interesting to follow.

Suiyoubi no Campanella is great! Woooah! Thanks for sharing them! Seriously cool and interesting stuff, really refreshing.
Hatis Noit is amazing! Spent a lot of time listening through youtubes last night, and she is great. At first reminded me of Azam Ali, then Bjork, Miu Sakamoto and Kate Havnevik all swishing back and forth like waves. Illogical Lullaby is absolutely incredible!

There are some things happening in jpop, even if it's not earth shattering, there is still talent and energy going around for us to enjoy.
