There's no restricted sections, no different apps and no different membership types - apart from the mobile fanclub playroom and the main one Koda Gumi, Japanese and global.
The global FC doesn't get mail for everything, that's true, but the info is there, you just have to keep an eye on the date yourself. Shouldn't be too hard.

The fact that there is mobile FC vs. normal is odd. And I cannot access most of the Q&A content - it gives me a message that says it is reserved for long-time members. It all just seems unnecessarily complicated.

As for e-mail, I don't expect updates for everything - but tour lottery is pretty major. Considering the site itself is pretty unruly and doesn't have much of value to visit it daily, it would be easy to miss.

That's very odd, cause that's news to me.
I was part of both Japanese and global Koda Gumi till last August and could access everything without problems.
Imo it had a lot to offer (blogs, games and stuff), they were just pretty slow with updating.

There are two, cause the mobile one has all the blogs and the Japanese Koda Gumi don't have those, but the FC mag and the goodies instead. All the info and lottery is on both. (playroom is older than Koda Gumi and cheaper - they opened Koda Gumi when Kuu got popular)
The global FC has all the info and also all the blogs though and it's cheap with just 2.000 Yen yearly. No physical goodies there as well, but stuff like FC magazine is digital available.
