Hitomi Shimatani is underrated =/ She has a wonderful voice.
Zwei is amazing, yet, not many people like them?

Also, Nakamori Band.

UA, sadly. One of Japan's most innovative artists and my personal favourite along with Shiina Ringo, yet she has way too few fans. Her music, especially newer releases, is difficult to get into maybe, but it's so worth it.

Yay! I love all her songs, including the B-sides. She's my religion.

Faves:
Cold Air
Identify
Wrong Impression
Shiver
Counting Down The Days
Troubled By The Way We Came Together
Wishing I Was There
Torn
Beauty On The Fire
Big Mistake
Smoke
Butterflies
What's The Good In Goodbye
Honeycomb Child
Come On Home
Perfectly
Slow Down

Hell, I love so much of her stuff. I'd give Ayu up for Natalie any day.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Rina Aiuchi.

Sorry, I don't listen to much western music so I can't really say who's underrated...

I have to agree that Hitomi Shimatani, Stacie Orrico, and Bonnie Pink are underated.

I also think Sarai, Pushim, Damien Rice, Mink, Kelis, Head Automatica, and ARIA are underrated.

Stacie Orrico is awesome! I have both her albums. I don't think alot of people know that she released an album before her self-titled one; it's called 'Genuine'. (I have it )

Tori Amos. She has really great music, but her music doesn't really stay very long on the charts. I think her recent "hits" were A Sorta Fairytale & Sleeps With Butterflies.

I just noticed that there isn't many under-rated male artists. Why is that?

I thought her hits were Cornflake Girl and Raseberry Swirl? Weren't those the ones that sold in Europe?

Anyone else here like Head Automatic. I think they're kind of underrated...or at least were.

Seether?! Oy, my heart! (Sorry. I just loathe Seether. Then again, I tend to hate the style of music they're grouped in anyway)

Underrated...

Well, outside of Western music? Chihiro Onitsuka. Great voice, great lyrics, great music, but she seems to escape everyone's notice. Wahhhh.

In Western music? Enya. her albums always do sell very well, but her songs are too low-key and soothing for pop radio it seems (ounderstandable but I still wish she'd get more attention on radio at all). Same for Loreena McKennitt.
