Beyonce accused of cloning Kylie

Beyoncé's metamorphosizing-robot performance "Get Me Bodied" at last night's BET Awards has caught the eye of a thousand Kylie Minogue obsessives, who are in a tizzy over the admittedly strong similarities between her arrival onstage and the way Minogue opened her shows way back in 2002. A clip of Kylie's entrance is above, and we have to say that watching it, we felt a bit bad for B: On first watch, we thought she kinda looked like a dollar-store Oscar replica, but the performance's low production values (are her suit's doors creaking?) were made only more obvious after watching the Australian diva's quite-form-fitting outfit, which was obviously inspired by repeated watchings of Tron.

Beyonce's show-stopping metallic robot outfit and wild dance routine on US television this week certainly wasn't inspired by an extra-terrestrial encounter.

The R&B diva's performance bears a striking resemblance to a show put on by Kylie Minogue back in 2002.

During Kylie's "Come Into My World" Fever tour, she opened the concert encased in a robot costume, which was based on designs from the 1927 film Metropolis by famed Austrian director Fritz Lang.

Beyonce, like Kylie, emerged from the space-age suit and began to sing and dance after its metallic panels opened up electronically.

However, the former Destiny's Child did throw in some uniquely "Bootylicious" robot dance moves at the BET awards show on Tuesday night.

It is not the first time Beyonce has been accused of stealing, with one current lawsuit forcing her to suspend production of her latest album.

The 25-year-old is currently being sued by soul star Des'ree after she covered one of her songs and put it on her B'Day Deluxe album without copyright permission.

Des'ree is seeking unspecified damages "in excess of $150,000," as well as an injunction on the distribution of the song and the video for it.

Kelly Rowland set to cover Kylie Minogue

IT'S the kind of song that is hard enough to get out of your head as it is, now it's going to be even harder with news that Kelly Rowland is doing a cover version of one of "our Kylie's" biggest hits.

The catchy club track Can't Get You Out of My Head will be back on our airwaves in no time after the former Destiny's Child diva announced she would re-release Minogue's chart-topping dance tune.

The move follows fan feedback the rhythm and blues singer received after performing a version of the song at an exclusive London nightclub.

However, the new translation is set to have more of a hip-hop feel - very different to the bubblegum pop version originally released in 2001.

I love Kelly but this does not at all make me happy... *Hopes it's good*

Groove Armada praise new Kylie album

Kylie Minogue's comeback album promises to be a huge success, according to Groove Armada star Andy Cato.

Minogue has recorded a track with the electronic music group and allowed the boys to hear a taster of her new album, which will be released by the end of this year.

"Ours is the best tune. The track we've done is a killer," Andy told the Daily Star. "I've heard snippets of her album here and there just to get the flavour of it and, as always, we've gone off on a bit of a tangent - but Kylie sounds great. She's just brilliant at giving it a real attitude. I think it's going to be a big one."

His bandmate Tom Findlay added: "It's sort of a Blondie pop with a stripped-back sound."

I don't know WTH stripped back means but I like it.
