variety is great, but you can have good transitions from one style to the next.
the way black cherry was set up, it was like the tracks were just slamming against each other and trying to beat each other down.

Exactly. It's one thing to create something which is well planned but if the variety is there just for the hell of it then it becomes a mishmash.

hm...i have mixed feelings about the album just based on the previews. as of right now, i'm not too impressed, but i'll have to wait until i get my copy.

I love the previews and I can't wait to hear the full versions
what I like also is that the entire album doesnt' have many many songs like sora, girls etc
it's really the opposite and the other ones that sounds more like that are really great (wonderland etc.)
It just makes the album different and really good from what we can hear for now!

Personally I think sales does not really reflect how good an album is. And I don't think Xlirationisfun was talking about the sales.
