i expected it... Because of CDL she may be opening the show again in order to be there earlier, so for opening the show Rule is more powerful than You were or BALLAD...

I hope she will do a great performance... visually we can expect the ninja theme, maybe like a-nation 09, and visually is great.. but I hope she will be able to have good vocals ^^

I don't think "Rule" is a bad choice compared to the songs some other people are performing. There are some who are doing special / older songs (AKB48, DREAMS COME TRUE, Remioromen), and some who are doing medleys (Koda Kumi, Arashi). It's almost as if she's playing it safe compared to those people (who are bound to get voted for just because of what they're performing).

Sounds interesting and cool, then no wonder that ayu and the producers had to choose Rule from the single songs of the year.

I wonder how the medleys will fit though.

Mirrorcle World didn't fit the theme last year, which was something like human kindness... but I think that Rule fits the theme fantastically.
It's a great choice.

I'm not sure, but it seems this year (and for the second year), Ayumi is the first performer in Kouhaku Uta Gassen.

TVXQ is performing Stand by U... and Kuu is doing a medley. : / lol my favorite artists are choosing songs I don't want them to sing in Kouhaku

Yeah, exactly,
And they also are talking about the combination of the biggest artists EXILE and Ayumi
Although I am not sure if they are talking about a collaboration,
Or just one after the other because its very vague... ahaha.
Because the title says that Ayu and EXILE will both start the show,
But then they say NHK entrusts Ayu with the start of this important Kouhaku with Rule.

I love your idea. But why put it like a secret? On the tickets the show starts in regular time right? Anywho, would be lovely if she would put on a long show again. If she have the energy for it.

I actually think they're putting her at the beginning so she would have ample time to rest her vocals/body for the CDL.

Anyway, I just watched the You were... performance on CDTV, and it was pretty decent, I enjoyed it.

Well the show's starting on 22:30 which means 1 hour and a half until 24:00/00:00
countdown and 1 more hour/1 hour and a half for the end of the show.

It's pretty much look like it will have the same length of the PREMIUM CDL. ^^

(Unless if I can't recall that any CDL started on 22:30 and not 23:00). "^^

I am fine with Rule in Kouhaku but she needs to make it a blast, unlike Mirrorcle World that has less energy due to her injury.

i don't want another PCDL.i prefer her normal CDL like CDL07-08 length.
i remember someone said that the schedule might be longer than the actual one,in case the CDL is really extended to PCDL length,but i don't hope this will happen >.<
