I don't understand that thing about Undergirls or DIVA.Are they AKB48 or what??(Really annoyed...)

^Trust me, I'm just learning about this group as well, and it is hard to take in. XD

From what I can gather, The Senbatsu are the main girls who are featured in the main song and PV of the single. Undergirls is basically just the rest of AKB48 that doesn't get featured in the main song on singles so they get their own song and PV. Naturally, the most popular girls usually are in the Senbatsu but there's no set line-up and girls can get promoted or demoted based on their popularity. I'm still not sure what Theater girls are though, I think they're probably the least least popular members, lol.

I think theater girls are the ones that didn't get into senbatsu or undergirls.....so they get the privilege of performing the senbatsu's songs at the AKB48 theater (what the group is basically famous for).

Oh and about DIVA, they're probably a sub-group that's a part of AKB like MINT but no one knows who's in it yet.

Uh....I don't think theater girls are the ones who sing on the theater version CDs. They only perform at the theaters. The theater version CDs are like cheaper versions of the CDs with less tracks or something like that.

^^Oh... no, wait I phrased that wrong. I was speaking of theater ver. of the songs not the singles. I need to stop before I confuse folks that know even less than I do.

It's just about popularity:

Senbatsu (Most popular girls)

Undergirls (Less popular than Senbatsu)

Theatre Girls (Less popular than Undergirls)

I think they got the name Theater Girls because the main activity of an AKB member is to perform on the theatre, and if they are not popular they don't get extra jobs to do, so the only thing they do is to perform at the theatre

In the rankings:
* 21 members from #1 to #21 are selected to be on the a-side song, they perform under the name of AKB48.
* 8 members from #22 to #30 are selected to be on the b-side song, they perform under the name of Undergirls.

^LOL yeah. XD Just put up a big picture of the updated teams and list them from left the right. For main girls that are pretty much always featured in a single, we can put their profiles in spoilers since they're the girls you see the most of anyway. We won't even bother with the rest of AKB48, SKE48 and SDN48, just put up the links to their wikis. lol

The info about what senbatsu, UG, theater girls, elections and the group's concept can also be in a spoiler labeled "AKB48 For Dummies".
