Koichi Domoto to star in Kansai Yamamoto's version of "Seven Samurai"

Fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto (66) is putting together a stage production called the "KANSAI SUPER SHOW: Shichinin no Samurai," based on Akira Kurosawa's famous 1954 film "Shichinin no Samurai" ("Seven Samurai"). KinKi Kids member Koichi Domoto (31) will star as the character Kikuchiyo, who was originally played by legendary actor Toshiro Mifune.

Yamamoto has apparently been preparing this production for the past three years. Although it is based on the Kurosawa movie, he explained that it will be set in the present day and that the method of expression will be completely different. It is being reported that Yamamoto plans to make it a 90-minute "spectacle show" with no lines of dialogue.

The rest of the "seven samurai" will be played by Akira Emoto (61), Riisa Naka (20), kickboxer Masato (31), Dachou Club's Ryuhei Ueshima (49), Olympic gymnast Yukio Iketani (39), and dancer Kaiji Moriyama (36). However, the entire cast is said to consist of 500 people.

Yamamoto has designed "samurai fashion" costumes for the show, which will be complemented by lots of visual effects from water to fire to wire-flying. It will be performed at the Ariake Coliseum on November 20-21, with an anticipated total audience of 32,000. However, Yamamoto is hoping to have the show performed overseas as well.

i read about that on arama before, but i'm not familiar (or interested ) in the juniors..lol. like you, i just want tackey's solo album! but at least he's not totally inactive with other work, at least. just music, of course

this is random, but since we're in the JE sempai thread, i was thinking about Johnny's Countdown (i know...i'm 4 months early ) and the thought of it just makes me smile, haha. it's gonna be so much fun! i already can't wait.

honestly , I don't mind a solo album from each of T&T but if the truth's that they really have disbanded , can't Johnny issue an official statement on this ?

it's quite tiring to keep on waiting/thinking that someday again both will record material once more but the underlying truth might be it will not happen again ;__;

Takizawa Hideaki is currently holding a solo concert tour, “Tackey Summer Concert 2010 YOU mo kityainayo Tackey resort”, and his partner, Imai Tsubasa is playing on his stage performance “PLAYZONE” right now.

It has been more than 2 years since they last released a single as Tackey & Tsubasa, and since then, they have only been active as solo artists. As a result, there were rumors that they might disband soon, and that their relationship was on rocky terms.

However, Tackey mentioned that he talked to Tsubasa about releasing a new single sometime soon, and he also said that they want to hold live concert together as well. As Tackey said, “I and Tsubasa can understand each other without any words.” It seems like fans do not have to worry about disbandment or their relationship.
