Well, I guess there must be some screens so that people sitting in the far back can see anything, apart from Ayu close ups they can be also used from time to time or partially to show some visuals. You can see screens in stage shots.

Yeah, I think that the screens are going to be used just like the ones in CDL then, it seems~

Ayu looks absolutely gorgeous! I love how this tour was kept very simple.

She is so cute with that hair and dress!

I like this kind of concert. And it is appropriate for the situation that Japan is experiencing.
BUT I think she's doing another kind of show that would be the HOTEL LOVE SONGS.

Yes! And I'm still crying...

He was my favourite male dancer. I'm happy that my other favourites are still around, but I'll miss Suba Suba A LOT!!!

Reading the reviews, I keep forgetting how walking proud was like a new "classic" for many Japanese Ayu fans... apparently they all have very fond memories of the song.

I can understand that!
I LOVE this song like crazy. It's my favourite song from "MY STORY" and also one of my favourite Ayu-ballads. I think that the lyrics of "walking proud" are very powerful, even when they're quite sad.

walking proud has always been one of my favourite Ayu ballads, and one of the ones I have the most fond memories/emotional ties to. Also, Ayu looks absolutely gorgeous and natural and young and great <3 Really really digging this tour so far. I honestly don't want to think about having to wait a year til a DVD release.... D:

wow. this setlist is really promising (besides evolution and bold and delicious). I am actually really glad it had no costume changes or interludes. Finally something different from all the other concerts.

She looks really beautiful and genuinely happy! Very simple costume, but also pretty. That's what Ayu needed, a lay back, simple show, to only showcase her talent as a singer. We've seen too much of the performer.

^Good call. Ayu as singer (PoM) or Ayu as performer (HLS). ^^

I am really looking forward to A song for xx, walking proud, forgiveness, M, fairyland, and A song is born.

So when I saw the setlist, I was a bit excited. When I saw that it is a no-frills show to the extreme, I was really, really disappointed.

I have been a huge fan of Ayu for 12 years now, and now that I am graduating college going to see her in concert is my Grad Gift. I have been SO EXCITED to see her in concert!! When the goods came out, I wondered if it would be tacky if I bought everything. Maybe two of everything.

What was I most excited about?? That one moment at the end of the concert when I would hear Ayu shout out into the crowd without microphone. Sigh.

So I see all the info about the concert -- and I get it. Powerful political/personal/uplifting message. I am sure it is the right thing for her to be doing right now. But, selfishly, I am bummed that I won't get to see the "classic" Ayu concert I have been (literally) dreaming of for years now.

I am coming around, I see the value in this one-time kind of show. I wish I could have both!!!

I am sure it will be amazing either way to see her perform live. I guess I will have to go back for CDL or next year.

---Also, does anyone else think it would be weird to buy the HLS goods for this show??? They don't match the experience!

I have it the same.
It' s the right idea and so nice from her but I expected something different when I'm going to see her live.
I'm looking forward to it of course! But I'll have to come back, definitely.

I bought 1 of everything when I went to see her in 2008. I had printed pictures of each item from online with the quantity written next to each item that I just handed over to the people selling the goods. Lol.

I understand how you feel, I was thinking today "Thank God I didn't choose to go this year instead - I would be so disappointed."

It is selfish, but I agree with you.

If I still end up going, I wanted to see the concert full of props and all. It is the right thing for her to be doing, but as a foriegner, this isn't really the Ayumi Hamasaki show that I want to see.

With all the energy conservation going on, it doesn't surprise me that the show has ended up like this. She doesn't want to be seen as an energy-waster. She wants to get her message across with as little negative impact on the situation as possible.
