I always love Ayu's albums. But somehow I think my interest has dwindled in her. Maybe I have lost my spark? I think I have been to busy with Korean music to notice much of what Japan is doing, after all they are still recovering from that devastation.

I am excited, but not as much as I used to be. I hope these songs really do well.

So excited, even though I don't think it's necessarily the time for a mini-album. But I guess tours work out better this way: she can continue base her CDL and next summer's tour off Hotel Love songs and Five, provided that she doesn't release another full album by then.

So is Avex trying to do the Korean mini-album system with all their artists now? No complaints here, I guess. I love mini's. More new music and cost effective too.

The contents I have mixed feelings towards.

'Why...': Of course, there's a medium ballad. What else? How much you wanna bet it's an R&B one too? Meh, doesn't sound interesting at all, it could either be an incredibly standard bore or something cool and fresh. I'm betting on the former.

'beloved': Well, the description doesn't say much at all but I dunno, got a feeling it's a gorgeous track.

'ANother song': ANother Urata collab? In God's name, why? dream ON wasn't terrible enough? -.- The description sounds lame too. Pass.

'BRILLANTE': The title is pretty sweet. Love the description too, can't wait.

Cost effective? For avex - yes. For us, not so much. An average studio album has at least 10-12 tracks + interludes and the price of Love songs was 3800 yen (CD+DVD) compared to FIVE's (CD+DVD) 2800 yen

Lol, yeah for the studio it certainly is.

Depends on the way you look at it, I guess. I tend to compare minis to singles (K-pop has done that to me XD) and found I'd rather pay 1,800y for 5 new songs than 2 songs, two instrumentals I'll never listen to and a DVD I'll rarely watch. Especially in Ayu's case, since her music videos usually end up on the album DVD anyway. A mini-album system would work for me since I usually get the CD only but for others who buy the CD/DVD it would definitely break the bank.
