Sound consistency tends to be a problem in Kuu's past albums . That somehow improved with Bon Voyage
And WALK OF MY LIFE was a surprise as the album flowed pretty well from start until finish even though some do not like the sound in the album For me , what turned me off before I heard WALK OF MY LIFE was actually not the preview snippets of the album tracks but rather it was the song titles which sounded so generic & un-inspiring Thank goodness the songs themselves sounded way better than expected imo

^ I felt the same way. As I did with Namie's _genic album. Generic titles lose my attention, the way book titles tend to do. I was kind of weirded out by titles like "Lippy" and "Fake Tongue" but those two are my favorites from the WOML album. xD Lippy LipPPPPYYYYY! Lippy like a rude girl. It gets stuck in my head waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too easily. I love it.

Haha I didn't liked Lippy & Like It on 1st listen as I thought both sounded annoying
![]() Also , Lippy LipPPPPYYYYY! Lippy like a rude girl makes no sense but maybe it means swearing like a rude girl in another context ? I don't know lol

In Kuu's context and with the rest of the lyrics, she means being an outspoken and blunt person, who's easily considered rude in Japan. It happened to Kumi - just think about the "scandal" e.g..

^ Exactly that.
I honestly thought it meant that she was being 'vulgar' in the sense of cursing and being rude and such, but the actual lyrics made me like the song so much more. Such a good song.

Yeah Lippy is great.
Since I learned that Lippy means rude (like flipping the lips too much), I got to like it even more. I love girls like kuu who are outspoken. |

...people judge albums based on their song titles? lol I've never heard of that. Interesting.
Like It is one of Kuu's best songs. The bass is killer and her flow is so good. Fantastic song. Lippy is my ultimate guilty pleasure because that song is a fucking mess but it's great lol. The intro to Fake Tongue is great but the rest of the song is meh.

I wouldn't say a song will lose points with me because of its title, but when you have no previews yet it's the only thing to judge

Honestly, I don't know what the big deal is anymore. It's true that it's healthiest for women to have babies when they are younger. According to research its the easiest on our bodies when we are 16 to 20 or so. What she said didn't have any malicious intent, so people need to stop fucking crying and put some big boy panties on. Whatever if the fulid thing was inaccurate, the basic point still remains. Not to mention all of the various translations that made the comment worse than it was.

She didn't say anything wrong, she was just commenting a fact she heard, the only reason it exploded out of proportion was because in Japan it's becoming very common for women to choose to have babies when they're on their 30s or 40s and those women did not like to hear their uterus where "no good". The whole scandal became publicized as if she said the uterus rots after a certain age though she obviously didn't use that word.

Honestly when that scandal happened , I feel really bad for Kuu . Because while what she said was true despite her poor choice of words , it was really awful & the magnitude post scandal (for her losing endorsement deals , cancelling promo for Kingdom & having to do a public apology) is just shocking
Sometimes people don't want to hear the hard truth & they only want to hear the good things . She shouldn't have said what will happen internally as a 30s/40s woman's child bearing age & I'm sure if she said it in a different manner , things would have worked out in another way Oh well it doesn't matter anymore . She's still going on strong post scandal & that's it all matters . If she wanted to quit showbiz cos of that , she would have done it immediately & not now

As a teen I thought it was harmless but now as a woman I find it very offensive. Though I heard that it's not recommended to have children after 35. Many women are having heathy babies with their heathy bodies in their late 40's. So according to Dc. Einstein all those women had rotten amnionic fluids. So ayu, jolin and anyone in this forum childless and over 35 have rotten amnionic fluids. Like what the Fu**. I love kumi to death but her statement was offensive. She could've said some women but she didn't, making her statement even worse.
![]() @karenpang I guess it doesn't matter anymore, anyways. She apologied and its in the past now. ![]()

Yeah well I don't think it's something she's proud of and sometimes I'm also guilty of not thinking before I speak (in this case type)
I'm sure if she really took it too hard on the amount of negativity hatred she got when that happened , she would have left showbiz after she finished her Kingdom tour Thankfully that didn't happened & she's still around doing what she does best

Also, reading numerous Kumi interviews throughout the years (especially the Koda Reki), you could see just how much the scandal effected her. It was truly such a low point in her life. I remember reading one of her recent (?) interviews about how she was so anxious all the time of the public's perception of her during the TRICK era. Hell, she even wrote Can We Go Back in reference to the whole thing. I'm glad she's past it now. It really puts into perspective her line in "WALK OF MY LIFE": "I'm finally free."

I'm dying for new music news.
![]() I really want the last release of the 15th anniversary to be something exciting. Only 9 days left until the Music Station special at least.
