^ I honestly don't think Ayu cares what the media says about her. I'm sure she's totally used to it by now.

That's A LOT of money and it's great that Ayu gave so much.

But personally I think that it doesn't matter how much you give, but at least that you donate something. I listened to some people talking yesterday and they said that they don't have much money and could only donate 5 Euro or so and I just told them: "DO IT!"

And I really hate that the media was talking bad about Ayu. Not everybody is going around saying: "Hey, I donate xxx to help the people in Japan!" Maybe she made her donation anonymously!

But whatever...she donated (and is also trying to help in other ways) and that's wonderful of her!!

its great she gave that much to help and i m sure it will be put to good use .
i m just wondering why now and not before ?
Yeah...
I'm happy she donated, but the timing leaves much to be desired. I personally would have preferred that the donation amount and time not ever be disclosed in this case.
And whether or not she cares about the media, we can all agree that its a pretty serious blow to someone's reputation if it is known that they have money and didn't help their country or fellow country men at a time of crisis.
I think its a pretty ridiculous situation, either way. You can't satisfty everyone.

Even if the news is true, that Ayu only give 1 mil, but I have faith on Ayu, that she's doing her best to help people in Japan. Mountain of money won't help if we don't change it into daily needs. Must Ayu show to the world if she's giving a ton of daily needs ? Must she give a press conference to claim how much money she has given for the victims ?

People can talk whatever they want, but Ayu keeps working her best to help people in Japan, and I think it's more important to support all of Ayu's works for it, than gossiping how much money this and that artist give... Oh media... XD

Im pretty sure she waited to donate so she can gather her thoughts and what not. I mean she did the 5 million really quick and is thinking about a charity concert, I hope she does a charity single and she is also doing the t shirts.. Im pretty sure when this is all ndone its going to be close to a million usd.. (if she does the concert and single with the t shirts.)

Yay for Ayu!!! I think the media is really stupid. I think what happened is that Ayu had 5 million yen ready in cash in the bank to donate, but then she had to look at her other finances and shift the other 30 million yen from whatever savings/investments she has to donate. That doesn't happen overnight. To hold 35 million yen in your checking account would be plain stupid when it should be invested.
