Yes, it is. If you have more than 1 million than you're a millionaire, if you have mora than a billion you're a billionaire. And Ayu has more than 24 million dollars, it's ALOT, more than most people around the world, most than almost everybody in here. And even the 500,000 dollars for Mika is alot.

OMG, thank you so much for posting that. I was seriously freaked out to think that Ayu could have made *more* money in 2003 with "&", "Forgiveness", "Now Way to Say", and "Memorial Address", then she did this year. Plus, in 2003 she only put on one concert tour, where as in 2004 she put on two. I read some where that Avex generally looses more money with her concert tours then it gains (but that might have been a mistaken article)

*phew* With how incredibly GOOD "My Story" was compared to "Memorial Address" over all, I was horrified to think that she made at least a million dollars more with the latter.

Oh, and why has Ayu's profit decreased so greatly since 2001? Is it since that was her hay-day? Or has the world's economy drop effected even her?

actually, there are not only CM is counted, the live tour is also a source of income that included in that 3 million(but i think CM is the main income).

The figure quoted in the first post is correct. I think what yamogi means is that Ayu would have earned more money in 2004 if she had released an album. As it is, she only released 3 singles in 2004: Moments, INSPIRE, & CAROLS. MY STORY came out on December 15 so the income from that will appear in her 2005 earnings.

The major source of her income, even in years when she was releasing more CDs, is product endorsements.

that what i want to mean, i hope nobody is misled. orginally, a singer's income is not mainly from CM and tour, is form the copyright of selling, the copyright of creating(original copyright) , copyright of producing, copyright of singing and copyright of writing lyric/song. (in ayu's case, income only from CM or tour.)

the amount of money that can earn is :copyright of creating(original copyright)>copyright of selling>copyright of producing>copyright of writing lyric/song>copyright of singing , unlucky, AYU WON'T get the money of the first 3, AYU ONLY CAN get copyright of singing and copyright of writing lyric/song which is very little compared with the first 3, that is the reasons why AYU earn so LITTLE(she should earn MORE the HIKKI).

yea i heard that everytime a song is played on the radio or an mv is played at like a music station the radio/tv company has to pay the artist/company a certain amount

also this is y otsuka ai earned so little.....she had like 5 singles n 2 albums btwn dec 2003-nov 2004!

shouldnt ayu's memorial address b included in the earnings for 2004 cuz she released it like in mid-december '03?

Maybe Ayu should start her own record label, even under Avex. Didn't Max once say she was good enough to be her own producer?
