Nah, the article's direct quote is 'a bungalow of 5 storeys'. I don't know what it's called in the US, but in Asia it's definitely okay to call them bungalows.

I know lots of musicians have in-home recording studios and such so they can work and make demo recordings and then just go do the final recording in a real recording studio, so maybe Ayu does that too?

Well she's rich - I mean people like me, poor student, are already fans of tech so it's not puzzling to know she's one too.
As for shoes... well that explains why she buys so many in TW, HK
5-storeys bungalow - i think that should be called penhouse or something... The title bungalow sounds so small.

She mentioned in MS that humidifiers help to maintain her voice, that's why she needs tons of them in her house. She even requested for 10 or 20 more humidifiers in one of the hotels during her Asia Tour
